Nice! It's like the day before x'mas. Those wheels already look awesome too.

Those grapplers do look nice and aggressive. You know that's what you really want mounted! At 32.76 diameter and 12.17 width, you should be just dandy. Don't worry as the flares won't even be close to an issue, so you can go in confident about that. The point where it may just kiss is the mud guard, roughly 3" inward from the outside edge of the wheel well. And the forward edge of the wheel well, again a few inches in, but only when backing up aggressively.

It's really up to you which tire you want as both can more than readily work.

YES, the nittos are def the ones I want mounted :) However, the thought of it rubbing the mud guard and edge of the wheel well worries me. I just keep asking myself is it worth the extra .3" of height and 1" of width to worry about possibly cutting/modifying? The Falkens are 32.4" and around 11.2" wide which isn't small by any stretch. The advantage of the Nitto's are the slightly more aggressive look, and the aforementioned bigger size difference. In person, the Nitto's are aesthetically more pleasing. However, the Falkens have the snow symbol which in upstate NY may be beneficial. Ugh, can you see my dilemma? lol, it's driving me nuts. I hate to even mount whichever set I am not going to use as I will sell that set as new and never mounted. So, I am trying to make my decision before hand. Your post above does give me confidence about the Nitto's and I def feel better about that size.

I don't miss my front mud guards at all... Not even in mud. ;) And I'm not flinging rocks behind me, since the rear guards are fully intact, and would be on yours too...

Ok, you've sold me on the Nitto's :) Thanks again Mark for all of your help. I will post pics once the tires on on.

Daddy got some new meat today :). The 295's fit with the rear mud flap removed and the front little flap (what is that little 2" flap?) removed. It's amazing how a tire can transform the look of a Cruiser.

Already looking gruff, argh argh argh. Can't wait to see the whole car down on all fours.

The Ridge Grapplers are on. Very nice stance and quiet as well. Since the dealer removed the mud flaps, there is a gap between them and where the fender flare starts. It's not overly noticeable but it looks out of place. Therefore, I would like to reinstall the mudflap but somehow minimize the slight rubbing on the inside of the flap like @TeCKis300 said it would. I guess I could utilize a heat gun or dremel to beat back or grind some of the plastic in that area?

That looks friggen fantastic! The squared off shoulder of the grapplers really suits the look of your cruiser with the flares.

I have to say, for big bodied cars like ours running 33" or larger tires, 20" wheels may just be the way to go. I like the old school fat donut look as much as the next guy, but 17" wheels are beginning to look unbalanced to my eye. The proportions just look right and aggressive with the 20s. And there's still plenty of rubber that we're not giving up anything.

Really digging the nittos.
Looks great.

Thanks a bunch! I agree about the squared off shoulders, it looks good with the lines of the Cruiser. However, I actually removed the fender flares tonight as the greater % of me wanted them off. Tomorrow, I am having the vehicle stripped and detailed by a friend who does detailing on the side. The flares never mounted flush against the fenders as hard as I tried and after removing the front flaps, it just didn't look right anymore. Therefore, I am hoping that bringing the paint back to new (especially where the flares covered the paint), it will be worth it. With the flares removed, it may even have a more muscular stance as the flares don't "hide" the wheels/tires as much. More pics to come :)

Thanks so much TexAZ. I have had just about every brand of offroad/AT tire and without a doubt, these Nitto's look the best. They really look good in person, and the online reviews are what won me over. Of course, the confidence that @TeCkis and @Markuson gave me to install them helped :) They really are a great tire and seem to be quiet even though they have a fairly aggressive tread design.

The fact they are quiet despite being very wide with a LOT of that squared-edge smacking the road means Nitto did a great job dulling the noise. I was reading about their efforts in varying the tread pattern for that reason, and it sounds like they succeeded.

I am 95% sure those are my next tire. I love KO2's over-all...but I like the mud-elements of those Ridge Grapplers. Seems like they really struck the balance between ATs and their Trail Grapplers--which were supposed to cut the middle between Its and true mudder tires. I think many were surprised that Nitto added yet ANOTHER tire to their already diverse Grappler line, but this one looks like a real winner. Sign me up!

Funny cause your rig got me looking at the various fender flare options yesterday, if just for kicks. I do like the non-fender look as well. Less busy.

I was thinking those TRD +40 offset wheels are really the ticket. Puts the tire sidewall just flush with the fenders. With no wheel spacers to mess with. After you get those flares off, mind taking a pic down the body line? I bet she's ever so flush.

Mine at +35 offset and 305s, has the shoulders of the tire just outside the body line. It'll still tuck under the fenders though so it's not a clearance issue. Just a subtle aesthetic.

@Ali FJ80 just ordered a set earlier this week. Been wanting to run them since before I got my Tundra, before my 200.
Also watching the AT tire thread.....
looking like I may try the Nitto Ridgegrapplers in 295/65r20

Nnice! cant wait to see pics. The new ridge grapplers look pretty nice. I had trail grapplers on my 100 and they were surprisingly smooth and comfortable.

someone needs to test fit a 325/60/20.......

After driving on the Ridge Grapplers for an hour or so today, I can attest that they are VERY quiet for a hybrid tire and balanced with minimal weight. My tech stated that the most any one wheel took was 3 ounces. Fellow mud members, run to your local tire store and get some of these puppies. They are the best looking tire I have ever seen in person, and are extremely compliant. Of course, my road time is very limited but my initial impression is that these tires are all of that and a glass of milk. Time will surely tell if they live up to the hype of the online reviews which are all positive.
