Holy YOWZER MIKE!

The HELL with that... IMO....

J

Dude, I'm so close to saying to hell with it. These tires are so not worth the pain. removing the run flats from them is even harder. Here's how most people do it

I dunno...isn't the purpose of run flats to have that capability in the field to be able to continue to maneuver if you loose air pressure just so you don't have to go through the whole charade you have to go through now, in a controlled environment, to insert the run flats? Pain upfront for no pain in a compromised situation...

I'm liking your ability to innovate to get those tires off the rims and the run flats in! Very impressive (and a lot of hard work, no doubt...even shows in the pictures...).

I can't remember the exact numbers so someone will probably correct me. But the purpose of these run flats is to keep you going 50 mph for 50 miles I think. They are basically so you don't get stuck dead it the water while conducting a mission or during an ambush. These are specifically made for the H1 Humvee. They don't necessarily help you to off road, but they are good peace of mind.

I'm tired just looking at the pics

I was too tired to take good pictures. I should have waited for someone to help me out. The biggest stumbling block I had was holding the tire down while trying to insert the run flat. Definitely a two man job.

Field craft great use of resources available!

I will admit it took me about 30 minutes of trying to pry it open manually before I sat down for a break. As I was enjoying a beer it hit me that there's a smarter way. Necessity is truly the mother of invention (not that I invented anything)

Went to our club meeting this evening. Met up with davegonz, AJ, Jason and the guys. Saw my favorite series parked next to my favorite land cruiser.

Yes they are both turbo diesel :) .

Good seeing you and Dave last night.

Looking forward to our bumpers too from @reevesci !!!

Oh also think about going to SCC, I'll be there. First weekend in Oct. Maybe get a caravan going from ATX.

From my 1 ringy dingy. 2 ringy dingy

Jason, it was good seeing everyone again. I'm definitely looking forward to the bumpers that reevesci is making. I'll see if I can swing the SCC this year, but it's looking like I'll be swamped with classwork.

Oh sure post the UGLY PIC..... got quite a bit done on it today.... DS swing out is cut and ready to bend tomorrow too.

Another customers shell was fabbed out and tacked up too.

I think that pic looks great. And they have to earn better pictures, if you just give it to them, they'll begin to expect it. That attitude once instilled leads to lower work ethic and bad quality work which leads to buying foreign products and outsourcing which leads to a stagnant economy, possibly even recession and a huge deficit. Is that what you really want for America? I didn't think so.

Ok a few more reps and I'm outta here, sad to say I'm the prittiest girl at the gym today ;)

Ha! That's hilarious...

Yes, if that's the case, then please...no more pretty pictures J...for 'Merica's sake. Gotta take one for the team...

All, I perform a 20-30 minute cool down/firewatch period every night after work.. JIC... Anyhow.. In that time period I look back on my days work and see if there is anything I'll change or could have done better. Basically a one person debrief so to speak...

SO, tomorrow there will be a change to the quarter protection... It's a "J" thing... I'm bitchy about certain things...This is why I tack weld everything and then STOP for a bit before proceeding...

Changes will be updated tomorrow Mike, STAY TUNED!

Cheers,

J

I like this idea. I think I'll adopt it.

Couple of quick questions (argh...the pressure...no...time...to...think...!!!)

Will it work with multiple personalities?
Do 'voices in the head' count also as employees?

EDIT: Just a quick note, all my employees are ugly, so they are definitely on Team 'Murica...

I yell at mine out loud, people think I'm crazy. ... Stupid people !

...that must be the price of leadership...they'll never understand...try shouting louder! (this trick also works if you are speaking English to a foreigner who doesn't speak English...if you shout louder, sooner or later they'll understand what it is you are trying to tell them).

I double as a foreigner when I'm out of the US, it's my under cover job :poof:.

I also found people (Iraqis mostly) understand M4, M2, M16, M19, M249, 240G quite well. Weaponry is a universal language. To keep it tech, I sometimes drove Toyotas while talking to them:D.
