I ordered a gm racing radiator, supposed tip hold 50% more coolant than the stock Toyota one.
While dropping big red off I saw Mauricio's land cruiser. She's a beauty.

the Tacoma is slowly becoming capable and the comfortable ride and AC is making my wife slowly lean towards taking it everywhere. I think i might need a new wife.

@robustbambi where have you been hiding? Still have woody?

Brother, I’ve just been lurkin’. And you better believe I still have woody. I just DD a 100 now, so obviously I can’t be seen associating myself with you cloth-seat peasants... lmao jk

Lol, big red has pleather in the front. Glad you're still in the community.

🥰 thanks. I’m not going anywhere :)

My front drive shaft arrives on Thursday. I'm recommended to install a limit strap for the front axle. Will have to install it in the center of the axle so it can still articulate.

Why the limit strap?
The manufacturer wanted to make sure i don't go over 40* because that will cause the u joints to bind and possibly break. I don't think I'll ever go that far. I don't foresee it being an issue, the limit strap wont be a priority. My 500 to 800 hp rated radiator just showed up, that's the next priority for now.

New radiator is in. Much bigger and much thicker. Three rows of one inch width.

Waiting on one more delivery today. Then heading out to kayak with the gators.

That's a nice driveshaft. What joint's does it use?

I forgot to mention make sure you use some nice soft mounting bushings for that radiator. Aluminum radiators get a bad rap on here mostly because everyone mounts them too ridgidly

It's not glamping if you break a sweat while setting up.

I can't deny it. It was an easy 6 hours drive at 70mph with the AC on. Got a ton of thumbs up and averaged about 16 mpg. Not as good as big red but definitely more comfortable.

There are a few other tacos carrying kayaks here.
