Hi Folks, looking to buy new tires for my 40. Running BFG 31x10.5x15 today but wanting to go with a larger more aggressive looking tire. (33x10.5x15) Not planning to do much off-roading. Want a good road tire with aggressive look. Not worried a ton about tread life as I drive it on weekends only in the warm months in Massachusetts. Any recommendations?

The Mickey Thompson Baja Boss is a good tire . I would also look at the Cooper stt pro

I’ve got roughly 10 years on BFG KM2’s and now KM3’s and they’ve been fine. Not many choices in 33x10.50 15’s. These tires balance reasonably well, aren’t too loud and have decent driving manners. 33’s will seem smoother than 31’s due to higher sidewall; but it’s still a 40 so don’t expect too much from a tire change.

For an aggressive look with good road manners it will be hard to beat BFG KM3. They seem to wear well for me too.

i’ve had the mickey thompson baja mtz tires. they look great, suck in the snow and throw rocks!! they are good in the mud but are a little loud on the pavement. i went with dick cepek fun country 2 on my fj62 and really like them. just another option to check out. they’re quiet i find have better traction than the bfgs and are a bit more unique. not as aggressive as the bajas

Kenda 33x9.5 Klever R/T is a great looking all terrain tire. They also make an M/T with a more aggressive tread than the R/T. Both tires look great on a 40 with stock wheels. Some photos here:
