Good afternoon. I have searched for a comparison between these two lifts. OME and SkyJacker 2.5". I have found everything but. I have heard the OME's are a bit short, which makes the SkyJackers a bit softer because of the shackle angle. I am looking for the best ride a sprung vehicle can have, not custom. I want to run Bilsteins also. I have 1977 FJ40 SOA, 1971 FJ40 4" SkyJacker and now a 1973 FJ40 I just got. This will be my stock-ish one as it has a 2F, 4spd, Orion Warn 8274 with PS. The other ones have SBC 350. I will drive this more like a Sunday driver. My other rigs are for heavy offroading. Thanks in advance for any insight you may have!

No experience with 2.5inch springs.
But plenty with 4inch skyjackers, great ride.

I think I going with the Terrain Tamer stuff. I have read and watch tons of stuff. I do want to see what the local spring works wants to re-arch the OEM ones. I'm guessing it will not be any cheaper by the time I buy shocks and the other stuff that is rusted solid/away.
I didn’t even think of them. Are they the parabolic springs? I’ll look them up. Thank you.

Terrain Tamer look like "the" shiit for a smooth ride , i do like my skyjacker and OME after 20 yrs of driving 😄
I run Skyjacker 2.5” ‘Soft Ride’……they are not even close to soft. Even with the Rancho 9000’s set at the softest setting…..if your looking for something that won’t beat you kidney’s…..these are not recommended. If you’re after reliable, good fit, for the price, they’re great.
Thank you for that. That answers that question!

OME and skyjacker are not bad and give a good ride, sure better than rough country or old rancho , but i guess TT is softer , dobinson is suppose to be good too
Thank you for the insight! I appreciate it.
