I had one prototype printed with similar material and kept it in my truck for the whole summer. I believe @gregnash also has one early prototype installed before the summer. My prototype held up pretty well.

Update on the cupholder:

I scraped the previous plan that the cupholder is fixed to the vehicle through two brackets. Too many holes need to be aligned and the installation will be very difficult.

New plan is to use snap fit. Bump circled in red go under the left and right side of the center console. Bumps circled in yellow go under the back side. The backet circles in blue go under the shifter panel.

The prototype has a very secure fit with the factory panels. And the installation is much easier.

Just throwing an idea out. What about creating and insert the slides into the grove where the current butterfly sits that extends upward and has two rings that sit atop the current cup holder holes. Then there wouldn’t be a need to replace the current cup holders and it would be reversible (and would retain the lid.

I can't speak to other brands of material, but the MarkForged carbon fiber nylon I use withstands temps well above anything you'll ever see in the cabin. I have a battery switch mounted in my engine bay made from the stuff.

I suspect Ben's stuff is fine for interior, but if any issues arise we could print it up in the MarkForged stuff which should definitely be ok. Price probably jumps way up, but it'll last.

Yup. I still have it installed and it has been holding up beautifully. Used on a daily basis and no complaints.

You can use it without the butterfly. Do you want to remove all the features for accepting the butterfly?

Launch with the butterfly. That is probably what most people will use. Can’t wait to get in line.
