Any specific dimmer you like? 3 levels seems like a great solution.

There are various SAE specs, so you need the spec for fogs, which I think is SAE-Y. If it’s the correct spec then it’s a street legal replacement so long as they are aligned correctly.
I can’t speak to any of the BD lights but Rigid makes an SAE set which are a huge upgrade from the Toyota ones
IIRC DOT is actually only for commercial vehicles, which have different rules

I got my Baja Designs amber SAE’s installed today (I need to grab some pics) but had a question on the fuse. I had one light installed and while sorting out the wiring on the other one (lights were on), I blew the 7.5 amp fuse for the fogs. I replaced the fuse with a 10 amp (all I had) and they work fine now.
I‘m guessing my fingers contacted the leads as I figured out the pos/neg but would that blow the fuse? Or is a 10 amp fuse required?

On my '14 LX the original circuit fuse is fine. I'd be wary of increasing the fuse size - the circuit is designed for a certain amount of current (ie. number of amps), and by increasing the fuse size you are risking exceeding that limit, and in worst case, burning the circuit/wiring itself.
I would hit up Baja Designs for some documentation about the specific lights you installed, and find out their amp draw.

Thanks guys, I’ll get fuses in the morning and replace with the factory 7.5 (which was the plan), just thought it odd to blow one. I’ll check with BD as well to make sure nothing is amiss.

Has anybody had any inspection troubles after installing the squadron fog lights?
In Texas I see our dps says this:
“Other lamps:
Fog lamps, auxiliary passing lamps, auxiliary driving lamps, backup lamps, and parking lamps are not required to be inspected.”
So I think I’m good. But I want to make sure before I get them installed.

I have been running the non-DOT BD lights for years and I have never had an issue with inspections or LEO's.

Really depends where you are, what the local laws are, and how salty the person looking is feeing that day.
Anything not stamped DOT is illegal here in BC. I haven’t been hassled in the two-three years I’ve ran BD fogs, but I also only use them in thick fog and not when there are other vehicles nearby.
Use such mods in a way that attracts attention and you may find you dislike the nature of that attention.

Lots of pictures of installed lights but no light output pictures. Lets see the $$ shots of these things at night.....
I installed the BD amber squadron pros. Perfect plug and play install with everything you need in the box from BD. I went this route just given the ease of install and very happy with the light output. I will look for some nigh-time shots and post.

See post 8. Squadron R Pro Amber Wide on my 4Runner, but they're now on my LC in place of the OEM fogs. Way too bright for use it traffic. The SAE versions may be a better all-around fit, but they were not out yet when I got mine.
