Found the caliper bolts! Installed the caliper, brake line and tie rod and torqued to factory spec. Now if I could just find those pads.

Found the pads today and installed them using synthetic anti squeal brake grease on the shims. I noticed the cross shaped spring seems a little long. Anyone run across this or is it normal?

Not uncommon for the aftermarket stuff to be genetic, may need some mangle/bending, the pins are often longer than ideal. When possible, we reuse the original parts.

Thanks tools! Didn’t know my brakes had genetics. The pins were longer, but double drilled for the wire.

Did a little bending and it didn’t take much to get a perfect fit.

Finished drivers hub tonight. Started to bleed the calipers but didn’t get anywhere fast so a good place to stop. Anti rattle spring fit perfect on this side.

Bled the brakes tonight and filled the diff with oil. Torque spec for the drain and fill plug is 36 ft/lbs. Brakes required pedal pumping to bleed. My hand vacuum pump bleeder did not work on the front. So, I started with some slight pumps to try to get the fluid moving in the master cylinder before full pumps.

Put some dielectric grease on the new elocker harness prior to installing on the differential.

Ran into an issue that the stock body harness elocker plug doesn’t have the side tabs to lock on the elocker harness and the center tab doesn’t lock either as it’s in the wrong spot. Anyone run across this before?

elocker came out of a 96 and my truck is a 97.

Checked a friends lx450 and the 3 tabs are there on the body harness.

The new harness doesn’t have a body clip up by the plug so I improvised with the closest Toyota clip I could find. I removed the dummy plug with some needle nose pliers and this one snapped right in.

Read a thread last night that gave me a little inspiration for investigating the rear locker wiring on my CE thanks to @LINUS. I’ve read conflicting reports on whether a CE is wired for it or not but on mine it is not there.

Pictures for reference of stock CE rear harness without e-locker harness. First one located under jack holder without the extra wires and the second one where harness exits under body with only one plug. These compared to pics in above link helped me to determine what I have is a non e-locker harness.

Kids started dissecting the donor e-locker harness tonight as it’s not fully intact but has what we need to build a fully functional OEM system. Plan is to remove the e-locker wires and build a sub harness to connect. Fun to have them diving in interested to help build the Land Cruiser.

We have a pretty decent rear harness from the ABS plug to the differential but will need to replace one cracked plug 90980-11250 and a clip if possible but not sure what the part number would be so if anyone knows please chime in.
