Yep Amazon, although back when we all got ours it didn't include the center punch

of course the extractor had to break off and get stuck in the driver side, trying to drill that thing out was absolute hell, i was able to drill through the hole bolt but just not big enough of a hole yet
working upside down sucks
got almost all the way through just need to get a slightly bigger bit so i can finish drilling and then going to attempt to retap the weird shaped hole i made and HOPE that the mount stays in
if not next idea is go get a longer bolt for the mount that will go up far enough for me to get it tightened on a separate nut

it makes my head hurt that this wasnt even a cool mod and its taking a week of nights to fix :(

5 nights many broken drill bits 1 broken extractor later

i finally got through and was able to get the broken studs out

thanks for all the helpful input

fyi in the end my dremel with a carbide bit ended up being the hero that removed the rest of the broken extractor/bit/ and bolt from the hole

if you break off bits in the hole it makes it hell but not impossible just a whole lot of effort

also for those not privy to the information it’s 100 million times easier to remove and reinstall the KDSS bar from the LCA with the car on the ground not in the air i spent too long fighting with it for no reason

So i did a thing, i decided that vinyl was annoying and just painted the chrome altogether
since i plan on raptor lining in the next couple of weeks anyways i figured might as well go for it
didn’t come out too bad i think

started raining when i was finished with the first side, so hopefully this afternoon i can finish up the rest

From your photo, it actually looks pretty good!
Did you wipe it all down with IPA (isopropyl alcohol, NOT beer....)
Whenever you paint or use an adhesive on most anything non porous, you should wipe it down with IPA. It will remove any oils from your fingers and hands, and anything that you may have missed when preping. It also drys very fast and leaves no residue.

Yep, i gave it a quick scuff with a scotchbrite pad then wiped it down with alcohol then sprayed, i did in on a whim so theres some small imperfections from me rushng the tape job but im happy with it and i think it looks better than the vinyl tbh so i might redo the handles and the rest of the window mouldings the same way

That looks like it came out better than the drivers side!

finally got around to painting the lower lights as well to match the tail lights and then touched up the tails with some more clear to not let it go to waste.
Looks much better when it’s matching in my opinion

so i took the plunge to change out the anorexic ML sub
making this 10” sundown fit took A LOT of work i was dremeling and test fitting for about 4 hours straight but after about 6 hours i got everything buttoned back up and happy with the way it sounds

everything i read is mixed about wiring in a 4 ohm sub to the 8 ohm ML amp but im going to take the risk. i read somewhere that it has an auto protect mode if it overheats so we will see.

Do you still have the full grill or will you have to cut the lower half for a steel bumper?
Currently I still have the full but at some point may go with steel but doubtful i will go for the full maybe more like the half style steel bumper

About 1.5 hour install time, i think for half the price of the garage alpha one Ali Express is def the way to go, if minimal gaps don’t bother you. I’ve always thought my car would be a 10 footer anyway so to me it’s def good
