@ASFIR 4X4
In the order form I need to choose between SWB and LWB. But I think US-spec Landcruisers has only 1 wheelbase, so this selection doesn't matter?
Thanks.

Ordered. Thanks for bringing these to us.

I've loved the front plate and should have waited for the matching set. Instead, went with a cobbled together kit and was probably misguided though effective.

So if I order it for my LX470, and encounter any issue by any chance, would you take care of me?

If you're really nervous, I'll confirm when my set arrives for my LX.

But yes, they're the exact same truck underneath.

Some pre-production photos for your viewing pleasure!

They are 6mm aluminum with steel brackets to add additional support. No drilling or modifications are required to fit these skids. It is definitely possible to install these with your LC on the ground and without any help, however, things always go faster with an extra pair of hands.

The production models will have access to the oil drain plug, similar to the T-case and Trans drain ports seen in the prototypes. Also, more of the bolts will be recessed, similar to those in the middle of the gear/center skid.

The biggest tip that I can provide for installation - leave everything loose until you have all the bolts in! This allows you to move things around a tiny bit to get all the bolts and holes to line up.

No major issues working around my previous modifications either: OME medium lift, MetalTech sliders, and Trail Tailor differential drop.

How are you accessing your front drive shaft and U-joints to grease them?

Are those walled/countersunk fasteners (center row of middle skid) what came with the package or did you add?
I added a little bit more to the photos post to answer some questions.

To grease the driveshaft and u joints, you would need to take down the middle skid. This may be slightly different with the addition of the oil drain plug access.

A couple more showing how I fit them around my MetalTech sliders and how I used some of the diff drop spacers for the gear skid between the bracket and the plate.

Thanks for the pics. So for the skid plates we have just ordered, will they include oil drain plug access?

Do you think it'd be worth it to cut an extra access hole in the middle skid to avoid having to remove it entirely for service? After doing oil change and a 5-tire rotation, I'm just not going to feel like messing with pulling a skid down to grease my shafts..

Check out the post #217. With the oil drain plug access, you may not need to remove the skid to apply the grease.

I would be interested in a "combined shipping" option if available-I live in San Diego if anyone else is nearby.
