Hey Guys

My 45 only has the lap belts, and no where to mount a shoulder belt.

Is anyone on here using a set of seats in either their 40 or 45 that have integrated seats belts?

if so please post up some pictures and details on what you are using

Ive considered an internal roll cage so I can weld on a shoulder belt bracket but would like to consider this option first

Thanks!

When I put shoulder straps in the Toy my wife complained about it until during an outing I laid it over on the driver's side. I looked up at my wife securely hanging above me and ask if she was OK. She said yes and from that time on I never heard another word about the inconvenience of shoulder straps. I secured the strap to the roll bar.

Well I'm not planning on that kind of wheeling! Will still need a roll bar or cage for that setup .. exploring the integrated seat belt option first.

Looking for something like this ...

You just have to mount the seat securely enough to with stand the forces

I think I can weld up a solid seat bracket.
Is anyone running something like this or am I going to be the guinea pig?! LOL

I have seen some before with it, I think there was a long post with after market seats. Problem is finding a good seat with an integrated seat belt that is not to tall so your legs still fit under the steering wheel. Shoulder harness must be mounted above the shoulders so them come down at an angle so in case of a crash it holds you and not compresses you down. I have seen people run them over the seat and just mount then to the floor, very bad unless it is a little kid much shorter then the seat. Just make sure you have some big washers under the truck to make sure the bolts to hold the seat down do not get ripped through the sheet metal.

Here is the link to what I thought was a great option

Look for seats from a Chrysler Sebring convertible. I have those in my 40 and I like them. The drivers seat is electrically adjusted abd both are heated but I don't have that wired in yet. Here is a photo taken just after I received it back from the hot rod shop who altered and installed a new front floor and sturdy seat brackets for the Sebring seats.
