Do you guys think I am asking for definate breakage if I put off my antiwrap bar until after Tellico? I might could order all the parts and put it together at the last minute, but it will be close. I do have 55 rear springs and a clearanced CV rear driveshaft, think this might be enough for now, or does it get pretty rough up there. I plan on running all the hardcore trails. What do you guys think?

38 TSL’s & SOA…Do the antiwrap bar before you go, at home, in good clean surroundings. Much easier than doing a differential replacement on the trail, and limping back to camp, and then letting the 40 sit the rest of the time.

Jeremy do it............ I was naive enough to believe I could get away without one in my FJ62 after spring over. I was wrong, I spent 2 hours in the mud on the side of a mountain; not fun. Save yourself the trouble and get it done before the trip, you will break it running the harcore stuff at Tellico

good luck

Agree. As one of the trucks that may be running with you, please do it now :)

It was not a pretty site!

To JP's credit he decided to be naive about the anti-wrap bar, but then added in the thought that not running shocks would be a good idea :)

Thanks guys, I will order what I need on Monday. Think I am going to go with Ruffstuffs axle bracket connected to some 2x2x14" tube and on the croosmember I am going to go with a 1/4 eliptical shackle with a heim. I have to put in a crossmember, so I am going to make it out of 2x2 as well and make it removable. I will hang it as high as possible and let the shackle hang below. What do you guys think?

Hahahahahhahahhaa! I know this the hard way - 1 broke rear pinion SUA setup, 2 with SOA with soft springs and a track bar, and one with SOA and a beefy as all get out Skunkwerks FJ80 bar and shackle (althought a heavy right foot and 39" Krawlers don't mix).

Yes - Do it now! The way Marshall posts pics of my carnage, you'd think I was the poster boy for wrap bars :D.

I ordered everything yesterday, should be here by Friday. I went with BTF 1/4 eliptical shackle with a 7/8" bore x 3/4" thread chrome moly heim. I also ordered misalignment spacers that take the bore down to 5/8 but gives much better movement. I am building my crossmember out of 2x2 and will be removable, and the bar out of 2x2 with a Ruffstuff axle wrap bracket. All of this set me back about $300.00. Could have done it for half, but hopefully won't have to do it twice. Plus when I go 4 link/ 1/4 elipt. in the rear, I already have one shackle setup. I'll let you know how the build goes.

List before Tellico:
Wrap Bar
new rear shackles
Fix charging system (done)
Get new wheels painted and mounted
change oil
check all bolts
mount shoulder harnesses

Should be a busy week!

Jeremy
