I found a seized 8274 today.
The owner states: The winch does not respond to electrical input, which leads me to believe it is the motor that has let go... although some people have been known to replace the motor with an old Ford starter. Asking 150.
Before I bite off more than I can chew, really how much can go wrong with one of these winches? I've read quite on them lately and these seem bullet proof for the most part.
For the experts...being a novice with these, does his diagnosis make sense?Anyone have experience with this same situation?
Thanks for the help.
