I've got two faults with the compushift controller. It says temp sensor voltage too high and shift position sensor fault. Has anyone else ran into this? or did it work right out of the box after setting TPS sensor?

I had a couple faults too but at the moment I dont remember what they were. I have not been able to get the new t-stat housing in to get it running in the last couple weeks. once its up and running I will check faults.

You can't expect a universal controller to work out of the box. I don't know how yours came but my friends came with default diesel maps in place. You have to tune from there to get the best set up for how you drive and expect. Sensors have to be mapped with known voltages/temps

I've searched and can't find anything about mapping things. The trans temp on the a442f is just a light that comes on at 307*F and shuts off at 238*F, I was thinking of installing a temp sensor inline or welding a bung into the trans pan.
Got 1 16" fan moving 1450 CFM but the truck reads hot on the dash, might remove the AC condensor and see if it improves, it's barely above freezing here.

yea I got http://amzn.com/B007EECX2I for my boost, pyro, trans temp. it came with a little probe I put inline to the cooler. trans runs around 150 average I think.

coolant is odd. I run mid gauge most of the time so far. I did the mod to make the gauge work faster too. its fun to watch when the t stat is about to open the temps drop off and slowly climb again.

I hated that mod when I first did it. Now I love it. I know exactly when my t stat will open and when my electric fans kick on. Since moving to a 195 on/175 off sensor for the fan I rarely ever have it come on. Only is dead stop rush hour traffic.

I might have to take back my statement back. I don't know the compushift set up I i know others do for the controller temp read out. If it is piggy backing your gage signal should be the same as before. unless it is in series where it might have to send the signal back out to the gage and might change it.

As long as it goes up and stays steady id say the radiator is doing its job. These engines run very cool. I had my fans off while off-roading for almost a hour before I noticed my tranny getting hot first then saw that the engine temp was hotter than normal.

here's a ****ty video of me matting it up to 80km/hr, the shifting is really good, just wish I could figure out how to get the torque converter clutch to stay locked on a little more seems it jumps out as soon as I move the pedal.

Do you have a boost gauge yet?

My 11 year old son welds better.. Ghease I wouldn't have left the shop with that!

I honestly think JB weld would have turned out better even if you were blind folded while mixing and applying it!
