Sorry Guys, I was out of it on Sunday. Felt like death warmed over. I have a new tach and the truck is at Airpro getting hoses. I will give them a call this morning to see how it is coming along. Will get it to the tranny Guru hopefully by Wed. So he can double check the springs. Then she should be ready.

Update

Well after another full tear down of the tranny no problems could be found. It is now at the tranny shop so they can hook it up to their computer to see which solenoid or controller is acting up. I should have her back Monday and hitting it hard to tie up the last little things. Scott will be flying into DFW Friday night so she better be ready to s*** and get...She will be ready though. Just a couple hoses and a good once over is all that is left. There is no turning back and the next pic's you see will be Scott with the JOKER'S grin and a screaming 62 flying by!:flipoff2::bounce2:I hope to get some video off that!!

excellent

another awesome job by iaintscared69,. john

Thanks vipergrhd, I have found one issue that was the problem with the tranny. The AA 6-4 bolt adapter/VSS combo allows the VSS to pick up the relunctor ring signal off the shaft. Well if there is play in the shaft and the gap opens up on the VSS, the truck thinks it goes from 62 to 25 in a split second. Not good for the tranny that thinks it needs to shift. That is what caused my problem. To solve it I am putting on a Downey transfer case VSS adapter. :bounce: OF which I know works!! Thank god for Downey!!! So Scott will be able to pick up his truck on schedule.

maybe if you would stop breaking stuff this wouldnt be an issue.

All I know is: better he broke it than me braking it in the middle of nowhere on the way home. I don't want to be heard "squeeling like a pig" out in the bayou country; (key the banjo music)!

Cruisin', I applaud you poking the cranky bear!! LOL!!!!

Gswest: Don't drive through northern LA if you can avoid it....my wife wouldn't even get out of the car the last time we drove through there!!

Yeah and I know Sarah could take care of herself!! Makes you wonder about La.

Cruisin aren't you supposed to be working??????? And if you don't have any work GET OVER HERE AND HELP ME LIFT THIS DAMN TRANSFER:grinpimp:

Scott, It is all back together ready to bolt back in.:bounce:

And MrZero... I want to see who's cranky after I get down there for some airsoft:flipoff2: and put a good OLE Ranger AZZ Whooping on ya:lol:

I'm driving from Dallas to Baloxi, Ms, then on the Florida. So, in order to get to Biloxi, I have to go thru some serious swamp-country.
Randy is doing everything humanly possible to keep my backside intact, but as a last resort, I have an ace up my sleeve.
Have you ever seen Dirty Harry? ;)

Ah the joys of state to state reciprocity......

TRANNY SHIFT ISSUE FIXED:bounce::bounce2:

bout time!

oh got the straight pipe on the benz today 40 bux

pretty quiet but if you are behind me you can hear it ok. silent in the car.

so how late you gonne be workin? maybe ill drop by in this COLD weather.

YES, It's fixed!!
A hose and a fan and it's in the can!
In 48 hrs I'll be in Vortec City and by Saturday morning I'll finally see, hear and feel the results of Randy's efforts. Pictures only tell part of the story. The video and sound clips gave an partial clue, but I know how it sounded and how it pulled before and the difference should make it worth the wait.

Almost there!

Here is a shot of the fan after I got it mounted and started running a new heavy duty harness.:bounce:I am putting it in this morning and will have the last of the hoses to do on Friday and Just double check everything.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

I missed that...did I read something about the shift issue being fixed? ;p

Are you planning on running only electric fans?

Hope Scott is planning to install a loud stereo, because this truck sounds sweet with the rumble of that Vortect! Randy was kind enough to fire it up a few weeks a go when I was in Dallas....Vaaaarrrrooooommmmmm. :grinpimp:

Happy Turkey day!

It has one subwoofer, it may need another + bigger amp. I'm sure I can get used to it though.
