From what I saw, he'll make it just fine. That's a damned nice rig, but the hose guy, he's something else. Maybe by the 3rd cruiser you bring to him, he'll have it down.:D Same goes for me and my water pump, by the 3rd time...:)

Randy knows where to get quality custom AC hose work done...... :D

Yeah that hose guy was having a rough time but he stayed at it freezing his ass off. As for the water pump did you get it in yet? Or did you start on the starter? Give me a shout if you ever need a hand tx cruiser. BTW good talking to you while I was waiting. All in all it was a good day:grinpimp:

I'm in no rush to finish it. It was getting cold and it's been wet ever since. Maybe Monday. That cedes is leaking ATF, just thought I'd let you know. There was a big puddle underneath it when it left.

I'll keep in touch. Glad to run into you again, it's nice to see awsome work like you have done.

i think most of it is oil from the drain plug. tho i do know a couple of my trans lines right at the trans pan are leaking some. either way thanks for the heads up.

I made it home safe and sound guys. No problems (well, one minor problem I'll explain later); the fuel economy looks like around 15 to 16 mpg on the road, I'll know better tomorrow. I didn't want to wake anyone at 1:00 am with a call, but I do want to thank everyone who helped get this done. Of course, iaintscared did a phenominal job and my first impression after barking the tires in second gear, was this thing is going to be fun. I was disapointed not to be able to hang out with everyone, but I had to get on the road for the first leg of the trip home. I made it to Biloxi by 10:45 that night and only had a minor delay with the gas explosion on I-10. I lost $100 at the blackjack tables; (Beau Rivage Casino) and made it to bed at 3:30 am.
I got on the road the next day, (Sunday) at the crack of noon. No probems for about 350 miles until I let the fuel get really low and must have sucked some garbage into my new fuel pump and or filter. I actually thought I was running out of fuel as I was pulling into the gas station. She starting coughing and shut down right there next to the gas pumps. I filled her up and she wouldn't start. Of course I knew who to call,,, Randy. After some quick thinking, we narrowed it to the fuel pump and after a few bangs with the wrench and a few prayers from me, she started and finished the drive without another issue.
The power is fantastic, the sound is very much V-8. I'll be having some fun this week sorting out some small details, but I'm more than happy with this conversion and I've been very impressed with Randy's work and sincere concern in getting me and my cruiser home in one piece.
Thanks bro!

good to hear you made it back safely

NOW I FEEL BETTER!! Glad you made it there safe and sound. That's what I call a road test!! Thanks again for putting that much faith in my work and letting me take on the project. If you need anything give me a call. One of these days I will get the wife and kids out for a road trip and stop by to see how you are doing. Enjoy the new toy!!

OH can you post one pic of it in front of the station:grinpimp:

I'll be sending some pics along from the station, hopefully with the new 33's!

Glad you made it home ok Scott...I can just imagine how sweet your truck turned out. I got to see and hear it in person when it was not completely finished and it looked and sounded nice then. Enjoy!:beer:

Incredible. How is it holding up after all this time? The best part of the whole saga is the final YouTube clip as gwest is driving off. Randy says "well gotta get to meatloaf". Classic. I am going to contact Randy about starting my vj62.

w:Dw inspiration congrats...
Just for kicks.\

Is the only benefit of the 5.3 over the 6.0 gas mileage? The extra HP of the 6.0 sure is tempting!
