Bottom line is that in the end you are happy and the new owner appreciates the truck for what it is:steer:

I read through your entire thread today. Awesome work and I learned a lot. Thanks for sharing

@Racer65 sent me one his first reproduction air cleaner intake hoses for my resto. I could not be happier, I had a very nice hose that is being offered by a mud member but really wanted the OEM hose with the correct shoulders on the hose. The hose arrived promptly this week (on my birthday, nice) and I just put it on. Looks perfect and is extremely rugged in construction. Perfect reproduction of the OEM hose that is no longer offered. Big thanks to Racer65. Pics....

Thanks for the post! I really got a kick out of seeing the hose in its element for the first time!!!

I decided to wait till the painter was done with wet sand and touch ups to install my door panels just in case I need to get back into the doors. I did plug in my trouble light to make sure the outlet worked and I got my cool new wrench clip from Tanker120, just need to track down the correct wrenches but that might be a job for the next owner ;)

Print and put that light pic in a frame!

Is that the Ebay delete plate?

I think that IS the ebay delete plate. I think he sells both on ebay and direct from his web sight.

Looking super as always!

You'd probably get $50 at an auction. Don't do fleabay with this beauty. You should get what it's worth....not give some random (non-Mud member) a smoking deal.

I just got mine from Racer65 last week, looks great. Now, I need to find the inlet part #17751 and clamps part #17882A. Any idea where I can get my hands on the inlet? I'm able to locate the clamps online, but am having no luck finding the inlet.

I know that @Weber Sarge is making some cool metal parts. I wonder if he can just make you one...

This 40 is turning out so sweet!!!!!!!!

Nice work Don.

Thanks Georg, happy I found that "poser" shot you sent me;)

Just been plugging away at some small stuff, Roma was kind enough to point me in the right direction on the last parts I had left over that I didn't have a clue went where. These are retainers for the actuator rods in the rear ambi door, I stripped them down shot them with some silver paint (closest I had to the stock blue zinc) and reinstalled them with some stainless hardware.
