I'd almost be willing to bet that it goes on the inner fire wall on the passenger side. I went and snapped a photo of mine.....well, as you can see, it is similar in shape and size.....:meh:

Great pic GA, probably hard to position the camera to get that!! I wonder if my '78 came with a buzzer??

my 1978 has the seat belt relay/buzzer all in the black plastic thing. If you look on SOR the last date of the separate relay/buzzer was 9/77

Hey antFJ where is the "black plastic thing"-ha, located??? I am laughing because I refer to things the same way too..........:)

same place as you see it above - it is next to my carb cooling fan relay *** sorry for the hijack

Thanks again antFJ & sorry for my hi-jack too........Neither my seatbelt light or brake light, or buzzer work; if the buzzer is there at all! I would not know hardly any of this stuff without SSCR's fantastic resto though-guess we all owe him a big thanks!!!

Very impressive restoration!! The information about all things - big, small, and "buzzerd" - is really helpful.

Will try and post up pic of area-one of the PO's may have removed mine.................

Can't seem to locate my black box.....but will check again.

Finally finished all my doors' weather-stripping. One thing I wish Toyota did like older GM cars was to use the little clips to hold the weather-stripping instead of glue. That was the last job I was really dreading, including the wire harness and brake lines.

Brake lines..... Did I hear someone say brake lines?

Make sure you put this up on Mecham or Barrett Jackson. You'll get 100 to 140k easy!

Thanks @GA Architect for the photo, I cleaned all my parts very well and mounted them with new hardware. All the plugs under the dash are now spoken for, funny thing is I had them already marked for the seat belt buzzer but must of forgot. Once the heat duct was replaced you can't even see them. I also spent an hour taking apart and cleaning my door limiters while the family decorated the tree. Actually was very surprised in hom good of condition they were. Photos...

I hate to ask this, but since I recently removed my front heater assy, I thought I found a clip on the duct to hold the cable to actuate the 'Fresh Air' door... I'll look closer when I get back home. It keeps the cable from sagging.

Yep you are correct, first pic is the clip, second pic is where it goes on the blower assembly. Hope that helps, anyone else needs photos or anything please feel free to ask, I would like to contribute since you guys have helped me out so many times in the past-

Yes, i am with Rainman, based upon other 40's going for big cash-yours has WAY more attention to detail, I would put my reserve at at least $100K.....seriously. The bummer is we will all miss seeing your work-as it has been an inspiration and incredible source of how to and where to find for us all.
