I dropped off all my sheet metal to a guy that works out of his garage near me last Sunday. I saw a couple of hotrods he built and knew I took it to the right guy.

Anyways I call him and ask to come look at the tub and he tells me "great and you can help me load it to take back to your house"! Yikes talk about fast! I was a little worried it might be some kind of hack job till I saw it, hear are some photos...

LOoks nice... A good body/paint guy is valuable!

You're not kidding, I'm going to use this guy for my bikes and my next 40 project. Very happy with it, finally have an all metal tub. Spent most of the night just staring at it. I'm going to need a lot of help from the forum reassembling this thing. Got to find someone with a 77 that is willing to climb all over it and take photos.

I'm going to start laying the wiring harness back in the tub before I set it on the chassis, and have no photos to go by since the first body guy did the disassembly.

I found this photo on the SOR site, should it be pretty much the same? I understand it is for a right side drive and I will have to run it opposite but should it be generally the same?

If anyone has photos of installing their harness could you post them? I searched and didn't find much. Thanks

Ran my wiring harness thru tonight. It only took about 20 minutes. I still need to adjust it a bit, but I don't think it will be that hard. Do you have photos and know where everything runs to?

Wow, that is sexy as hell. Where is this guy?

Hey Don. can you PM the contact ifo for the body guy you used (the second one :) ). I have a friend who has an old Celica that needs some help and he's been having trouble finding anyone who will even do work that's not insurance related.

Holy **** , that's close enough to me (my orthopedic surgeon is up there ) I'd use him instead of wasting my time working on this hacked tub of mine when we do the resto work .
Looks great , any close-up pics ?

Sure, I'll post some tonight, anything in particular?

Here are some more shots of the body parts and some close ups. I lucked out with m truck since it spent it's life time in California and all my doors are perfect and rust free.

Mine needs a rear sill and quarters since someone already added steel to it and lost most of the bolt holes and nothing really lines up anyway . I have a full decent set of doors , just need some attention .
Have been considering real steel for the rear section , need to get further into it next year first .

Looks awesome! I had a hard time changing away from yellow. You are making me regret me decision. What's up next? What are you currently working on?

Getting the house and yard ready for winter now, garage is heated so planning on assembling this winter. I'll take it slow and make sure it's done right.

Got the top back today. The cygnus white really makes it come together! Its more on an antique white than it look in the photos.

Surprisingly I do love the mustard yellow, but I also love your green Colorado! Very cool.

Did some small stuff this weekend, took my brake line brackets/exhaust bracket off and de-rusted them with some stuff I found at Harbor Freight. Works well but I let them soak for days, painted a coat of Chassis Saver and then sprayed them with Rustoleum semi-gloss to finish.

I started making brake lines! Thanks for Coolermans 101 write up, I'm sure it saved me countless mistakes. Thanks to everyone else too that helped me through the job. Not as bad as I thought and really looks nice.

Also picked up my heat shields from the powder coater, they look awesome. Really like the color, might do all my pewter stuff this color.
