is all mine

I have had all sorts of cruisers, but never a pig. As you would imagine, I'm stoked.
Currently it is just a roller. The frame and undersides are rust free. The plan is to have all the rot & fiberglass removed and then swap in an entire 60 drivetrain.

Great find!
Welcome to the wonderful world of the Iron Pig!!!
Looks like someone did a spring-over on it?

Yeah, it's sprung over. I was going to put sua 60 axles under it, but may leave it as is and just swap the pieces from the knuckles out. I have plenty of time to decide while the body is being repaired.

That's great news.......congrats on the find. I gotta go back and see if there are pics of the interior of this newly found blue beast.

Not much of the interior was in the truck when I picked it up. All the seats and rubber flooring are MIA. The truck did come with all four door panels. The po ripped all of them, instead of taking off the window cranks, when removing them. What a bozo. On a positive note, the floors are solid and won't need any repairs.

looks like a great project rig,,, no rust on the frame is a nice one. 60 drivetrains swap real well with a few little changes.

Welcome to the Pen! Great group here - need anything they will help

Enjoy the pig - she looks like a great project! 370 axels and later transfercase work great! Consider a H55 with a 85 to 87 splitcase for real highway performance and decent (for a pig) mileage.

Let us know what we can do to help!

I've been driving the tan donor 60 while the 55 body is getting made over. It runs like a top, but to be quite honest, I am already bored with it and fear I won't be satisfied once it's installed in the piggy. After some serious thought, I have decided on another power train for the project. I'm picking this up tomorrow and am attempting to replicate the build below. I figure it will keep me busy the next 24 months worth of weekends.

The Dodge is equipped with automatic overdrive A518 and a NP205, which will all be retained. The orginal plan was to run the d60 and 70, but since this lilly piggy won't be seeing any dirt, the Toyota axles will be beefed up instead. The np205 has a centered output, so TURNMEOVER is building a cruiser/mini hybrid rear axle. The plan for the front end was to use the 60 outters and brakes. After seeing PROJECT IRON MOOSE, I am now thinking of using mini stuff so I can run these adapters for 12.5" rotors and calipers off of a 06 4runner.

Believe me, you aren't the first one to tell me that. I agree, the drivetrain in the Dodge is the real deal. but just think of how much more appealing it will be wrapped in bacon. Besides, I already have the tow rig department covered.

GreatCummins idea!

Great idea on the cummins. :clap:Just pm'd you on the 60 parts. My project is stuffing the 6bt,nv4500 in my '84 60. Love the pig. That is definitely on my short list of projects to look for. Keep us up to date on this thread.

The Florida DMV will allow you to regsiter a vinatge plate to your vehicle, as long as the year lines up and the plate isn't toast, you can run it after its been inspected/approved. I picked up this beauty today for TP.
