When I purchased my LX was hesitant because didn't like the front very much. Now it grew on me and prefer it to the LC which in my opinion looks very much like .... wait for it .... the crown vic

This is something I can't un-see now.
I like the Lexus better, after heavily modifying mine, I still have the Lexus ride and quietness. Very minimal tire hums from 38x15.5. Oh and of course the thumbs up on a daily bases and a oh s*** that's a Lexus!!!!
Here it is next to a Lancruiser and a Raptor!!
@LX470Beast Holy CHRIST! That's bada55! Solid axle swap and all. That is inspirational on soooooo many levels. It makes a Raptor look like a toy

I may add, everyone that likes the LX, has made so many changes that it hardly looks like a LX anymore. I personally could put up with the front end as long as them headlights where Xenon. For such a top end vehicle it seems fairly cheap to put lookalikes in.
It does look like an 80, I couldn't put my finger on what it was. With the prices of 80's sky rocketing in the uk over the last year I would say that is a good look to be emulating .
Flares are from Extreme Landcruiser. Most parts used on the build are from the 80 with some custom fabrications.
Not trying to emulate anything..... but rather avoid tickets from California Highway Patrol for tires sticking out of fender wells. However many parts of build are from the 80 due to its legendary capabilities/reliability...... Got to love those solid axle from the 80!! Its like an 80 with a V8 and all the amenities of the LX470. LOL

Thanks. Yeah, the LFAs are incredible vehicles. I've been fortunate to be in one on a lap of COTA and they are definitely special. The exhaust note alone is a thing of beauty. The level of craftsmanship in that car is 2nd to none. We just got a Porsche 918 Targa in the garage earlier this week. That thing is crazy fine.
BTW, I need to order some of your special mud flap delete kits. I'll hit you up on the side.

Hey LCP! I can't take it anymore. It's LFA... there's no FLA!!! =) 
I've been casually keeping an eye out for a local, black OE Land Cruiser hood. If I can source one for a reasonable price, I'll swap my LX front end to '06 LC front end... just to change it up a bit.
BUT if I do, I will still stick a LEXUS emblem on the grill!!! lol.

As an observer I agree that the LC front end looks better.
Ya, the LC is way better than the Lexus. Why? Just because (and I don't have any bias).
