Looks like I am missing a part above my doors that should be covering the weatherstripping?

Did that part change sized over the years? Mine is a 1964 and I found what I think is the part, but the measurement is different.

Think the only differences was between soft top and hard top versions but not positive. There should be a panel there.

Thanks. Actually trying to figure it out with @coinoperated40 now. :)

I’ve bought way too many ‘wrong’ parts bc of mine being an earlier model so want to make sure it is correct…haha.

Need to post better picture of what you have. The B pillar doesn't look stock. Should not step in at the top. I also see a roll cage. Is that causing the hard top to sit higher with an extension? What version of the hard top do you have. Corrugated is correct for 64.

Yes, I have the corrugated top. It looks as though everything is mounted correctly even with the roll cage.

Get pictures of a larger area so see how the door fits the entire door opener. Not easier to judge what's going on with close up of small areas.
If these don’t work I can pull it outside in a little bit and get some more pics. Thanks for the guidance!

Another thing…I can’t get the bug catchers open…but think it is mostly due to the way they put the weatherstripping on the window.

Per the measurements he sent me. The length from the screw to the end is 29.5”. The parts I have also measure that, but I measured from the very end, where the bracket attaches to the top,
One inch difference.
The ones I have will work, but I just mailed a red set to Mark that should be a close color match

Seam along the bottom looks tight. You can loosen door hinges on the A pillar and doors then tighten the bolts with adjustment at it's highest. Gravity is working against you which doesn't help getting door hinges adjusted. I can't tell for sure do you have a door header with a 90° bend. That all these early top had. I haven't verified but believe the early doors with bug catcher vent windows came in two heights.

For a few years I have 69 FST doors on the late 62 production FHT. That fit perfect. Just the doors a worth too much to left out in the Arizona sun.

Yes the interior part of the header has a 90 degree bend. The pic with my hand…the bolts on the top portion and then the weatherstripping on the vertical part.

I’m ok with it being a different color bc I’ll paint it anyway. Sounds like it might not work based on info above though?

Follow the gap between the whole opening and the door. Door looks low. The gap in the top where it angles in is wider. Raising the door with hinge adjustment could help that. The bolt and nut where the top mets the outer windshield should be a screw with tampered base to fit the top and acorn nut on the front side. Correctly installed there is room for a nut to clear the door.

1962 FJ40. The rail is one piece and there is a ~3/4 inch gap at the top door frame.

My ‘63 45 and ‘65 40 are the same as cruiserdan shows.
