Hey i know im about 4 months late on this but im about to do my tub resto and wanted some tips and directions on the best and cleanest way to take everything down to bare metal? Inside and Out?

Just stumbled across your thread again. I ran front fenders like yours till they rotted away. They helped to provide clearance for 33x12.50s with minimal lift. I'd always planned on tube fenders similar to Metaltech ones... But never hooked up with someone to bend he tube for me... The muffler shop bent some of my tube, but they seemed confused by the task.

The one thing I did different was to modify the fender skirt so that it didn't curve down. Here are some old pictures...

My trollhole carb came in the mail yesterday.....
Now its time to pull the smog crap and get this carb on there. I am really excited about this carb as I put one on a fellow cruiserheads 1968 fj40 and WOW! what a difference....Im sold on them!!! highly recommend this carb. I'll get some shots of the carb as well as the desmog.

That's my cruiser, the troll hole is great and Tom does awesome work! His 40 next to mine makes my 68 look like a baby cruiser.

I found that a wire wheel on a grinder was the best way to go for fast striping of everything...it takes alot of time and patience...
