Nice Tom, the new carb looks great. Where'd you get that air cleaner?

Its an aftermarket checker auto crap cleaner.... I have the stock assembly back on there.. I had to plug up a couple of ports and cut some stuff on the stock air cleaner. That one in the picture works....however, it rubs the hood and is kinda small.
The seats are waaaayyyyyy comfy (hence the 5 hour drive).
nissan 200sx seats for free from a dude down the street from me.
I also got the dizzy and dented side cover and coil from "uglyoinker" for free too. I probably have to pay for that some way or another im sure...
seriously...I have about $1600 into this rig TOTAL!
......and several hundred hours of labor....I get alot of stuff from my friend JAKE who is not only a great cruiser buff but a great friend too... thank you jake. Yes I edited this to drop a name bomb. (see post below)

I will when i switch out the leaky gasket under it!
What air cleaner did you use? Couldn't source one locally that fit under the hood.

like I was saying...in post 142.
I went back to the stock assembly as the" little tiny checker auto parts air cleaner" rubbed on the hood. Its too small anyway. I like the big oem cleaner....moves more air.

its also a pile of crap as the base which is made of plastic started to crack under a bit of heat from the motor. I will return for a full refund!
Gotcha. I had/have the same problem. My K&N biscuit that was on the Holley, won't fit under the hood, but my OEM air cleaner has a ton of holes I need to plug up

I bought a rubber cap assortment kit from checker auto. it had an assortment of plugs that fit on the oem cleaner assembly.
It's a close copy of the non USA carb used in Australia
Cool thanks I'm gonna keep that in mind for my 72 when the time comes!
