All washed up ready for the next trip. Did find one broken part. The “cage” on the rear of the spring lost its bolt. Also later noticed a wheel weight come loose on the spare🤷‍♂️

Great collection of pictures!
I drove a few of those highways back in 2008 with my FJ40 when I attended an ACT event hosted by Mark W.
The picture of the Whittier tunnel was a nice flashback! You should consider replacing the missing hardware with some loctite.

I went on one of those ACT events, I think it was 2006.
I think the nut used is a fiber lock nut, wouldn’t think some loctite would be needed

Thank you for the pics, made my lunchbreak. Now I'm demotivated to return to stupid IT work, though 😅.
I need to get back to northern Northamerica.
Were in Canada years ago, but never toured Alaska yet.
Cheers Ralf

noticed that you have parabolic on the Rear .
How are they doing ,are you happy ?
I must be doing something wrong with all my mods? Didn't seem to notice much improvement to ride over the Dobinsons, don't seem to get the results I was hoping for with the Dobinson MRS shocks, (but I must say that I can tell changes in the settings-just don't know how to tune them-can't find any youtube lessons:rofl:, all the sound proofing I did in the cab didn't seem to help much. So don't know what to tell you.

Looks fabulous!
Today temps were in the upper 70’sF, way too hot🤣🥵
Have to agree with you there, I would be perfectly happy if temps never got over 75º in the summer. It touched 90º here today and was very unpleasant; I'm not wired for those kind of temps!

i sweat profusely when mowing the yard anytime temps get above 65F:(

Thanks for the report on parabolics.
I am still considering a pair for the rear.

So, I ordered the 4:1 low range gears that unfortunately came with a higher rpm hi range in the new Transfer case. I lost about 1.5mpg and moving to a 255/85/16 tire and light aluminum wheels didn’t help this. Since we travel longer distances here in AK I want to get my mpg back. So I ordered a 3:1 low with a better high range gears. What a pain working on our rigs to remove the back case and remove the output bearing and gears. The cross brace behind the transfer case is too close, so you need to drop the whole drivetrain enough to make room to remove the back half of the case and the bearing/gears on the transmission output shaft. Anyway, after much frustration I am finally putting it all back together again. In the picture you can see how close the cross member (welded tube) is to the rear of the transfer case. Hopefully it will all be worth it in the end.
