Can’t find evidence of month of build, sticker says that it’s a half year model, and that Asco hubs appear to be standard factory build at the time, couple of things including the pictured card show first use/date of sale 11/29/75 ... 2F, H42, drum front brakes. 58,916 miles, today, I’m the second owner:grinpimp:

SOR has a chart that dates it at 6/75. Factory installed hubs were a lot more common on the FJ55 than on the FJ40 in the US market.
 
I know that when my dad bought his ‘73 40 series from the dealer it came with drive plates. Dad then added warn hubs, and a roll cage.

Neat to see pictures of these Asco hubs. I've got one on a parts pig I picked up a couple years back (Cdn market '74, Warn hub on other side..) and never looked at it closely enough to realize it was an Asco until seeing this thread. I just figured it was some oddball hub / manufacturer that didn't last.
