I serviced a 1975 drum brake front axle with factory ASCO hubs. They do exist. @theSherpa
And they’re still on the truck . That was a bit more than 15 years ago, Mark
I lock drivers side first then reach the driveshaft with left hand-turn shaft as locking with right hand. The barrel Warn hubs are not spring loaded and the splines have to line up to lock then. Bullet proof hubs once locked.
$31,095 in todays dollars....That is super sweet. I wish I could pay that price for a fully restored one right now
Can’t find evidence of month of build, sticker says that it’s a half year model, and that Asco hubs appear to be standard factory build at the time, couple of things including the pictured card show first use/date of sale 11/29/75 ... 2F, H42, drum front brakes. 58,916 miles, today, I’m the second owner

@theSherpa tried to send you a PM but your inbox is full, limit reached or something like that.
SOR has a chart that dates it at 6/75. Factory installed hubs were a lot more common on the FJ55 than on the FJ40 in the US market.
