Hey everyone. I've been combing the forums for a few weeks and figured I should post a couple pics and share my excitement at finally purchasing a 40. I've wanted one since I was in college and could never afford one until finding a good job and saving some money for awhile so here it be.

1976 fj40 aka "Leroy." The PO did a total rebuild on the motor as well as a ton of other mechanical\interior work. The interior looks super, I'll get some pics of that eventually. I'm working on getting some OME springs and will order some new shackles to get the rig lifted a bit since it is a little saggy in the rear. Also, the bezel was upside down so I fixed that right away before lightning struck me for defying the cruiser gods.

Anyway, I couldn't be happier with it and can't wait to get it out and play. Love this site and the community it houses. I had so much information while shopping and I owe it all to mud. Thanks all.

NICE

and welcome :flipoff2:

Nice clean Northwest cruiser welcome.

Yeah someone else mentioned the hood to me. The PO may have replaced the origninal one when he did his rebuild. I noticed that it doesn't have the holes for the hood hooks or perhaps they were filled in. I'll have to get new hooks and those rubber blocks and put them back on.

I actually bought it from someone who had purchased it from the guy who did all the restoration on it a few years back. I'm trying to get in touch with that guy to see if he has pics of how it looked before he did all the work.

That's a clean looking cruiser. Enjoy!!

That guy was suposed walk farther into the woods... I can't be held responsible ;)

Hey when you got to go you got to go:grinpimp:

Welcome to Mud and congrets on your acquisition, he looks nice.

Haha. Believe me, there were a few I almost bought that would have needed the 2 years work (which I would have enjoyed), but I couldn't get my better half on board with that idea:doh:

I had almost given up on finding an affordable one when I stumbled upon this rig. I'm excited to get some ome springs, and do some work on it for sure. :wrench:

Dig the white color. welcome to the addiction, it will only get worse - enjoy

WOW, That thing is sweet !! Welcome My Brother :flipoff2: You're already on top of things ( flipping the bezel ) .

Nice rig!! Welcome. It's going to be your new addiction

Welcome:flipoff2:. Nice find, and good luck with your project.
