I have mine painted and the gauges in place. Wires run to the lights and voltmeter. Still need to hook up the oil and temp gauges plus finish screwing in the pod. I will post some pics of it tomorrow.

uhm...pics?? :D

and btw...

ok, so I am an idiot....i figured out how to order from the web site....

Thought I was too late to get in on this for my BJ60, but sure enough, it's available on their website. Thanks to zander for getting this all done, and orangefj45 for donating the sheet metal.

For those of you more motivated to work on your cruisers than me, their website was asking for pictures of it installed in an FJ60:

Any pics?? I painted mine "Sandstone" and kinda matches the tan, but I'm having a hard time getting it to fit. Any pointers?

Anyone got theirs installed yet.....looking to see one before I take the plunge....need to convince the:princess: it will look good...the one picture had what seemed like a gap at the top.....

I have mine installed with the Z series mechanical gauges from AutoMeter: water temp, oil pres, and vac. I painted it a light gray to match the glove box door and mid dash. Close enough for me on the color match and yes there is a gap at the top of the pod. It doesn't bother me but it's not flush like the triple pod on my Dodge CTD. I enjoy having real gauges now, Thanks again Zander;) Mike

I know.....I know....worthless w/o pics

Z Series is what I'm going with. Is this the closest to stock look or has anyone else found something closer?

Sorry guys - we got hit with a massive ice storm in early December. No power for a week and tree limbs everywhere. Been cleaning up the mess in my spare time. I am just getting back to the Cruiser. I will post some pics soon.

Well - I have got no farther than my post from last month (12/10/2007). Ice storms suck!

Here are some pictures. Water temp and oil pressure are not connected and the pod is not attached to the pillar. I am not sure I like the color either so I might pull it and repaint.

looks awesome... and it fits the flatness of the door pillar?

all the ones I saw at Autozone and the like were very curved...

well that gap isn't that bad, and I would expect something could be molded to kind of "cap" it off.....

looks like I need to get ordering...

Thanks for the photos!

Tim

There are 2 screws - one at the top and one between the bottom 2 gauges. The screws are not installed yet. It should pull down closer when I get there. Mine was a really tight fit to get it on.

I don't know...the black window gasket and the brown rubber trim will keep the pod from snugging up more. The middle will just bend inwards.

I was thinking of trimming the left side flange and then having the brown rubber overlap over the left side of the pod. This would make it snug up closer and will minimize the gap.

Hmmm I wonder if theres a way to make the rubber fit over the pod

I have an extra pod that has a tiny crack on one of the holes. I am going to trim off the left flange and will see how it fits up under the rubber.

Finally, here's a pic of mine. After trying to track down a color that would match the top of the dash with no success; I opted to try to match the gray of the middle dash. It's close enough for me and I'm happy with the way it came out.:beer:Mike
