They are making the mold now. I will ask when they plant o have a first prototype to me.

Zander, hate to be a pest, but do you know if they will just send out the ones that were color requested but no sample was sent in,. Will they just ship out as black/unpainted. (Such as one of mine was requested as headline biege but I understant it's not avialable?) Just don't want the color thing to hold up shipping out.

Zander, I sent you a Western Union MO dated 4/3/07. I'll PM you my adress. Thanks,:) Mike

They scheduled us within 10 days of the money arriving, July 10th. Then the mold takes 3 weeks to design and build which they are now in the middle of. Then I get a prototype. In the mean time they did send me a few versions from other projects they thought may work, but they were just wrong enough to not work.

Just got anew update on the pods. The mold is done and now they do 2-3 weeks of pressing...

-------

Yes. Next step is to have the presses made. That’s about 2-3 weeks.

Zander, thanks for the update !!!

I'm not in on the original order, so I sent them an email asking what it would take to open new orders. I realize someone else may have doen this already, but I didn't have the energy to wade through all 10 pages of threads on here to find out.

I will post a response when received.

Here's their prompt response:

The mold is completed but it will still take another 3-4 weeks to have the final product.

You can still buy one. Send in a payment of $60.98 for a gray unit of $52.99 for an unpainted black one. If you are not in the US give us your address and we will give the correct payment amount. Send payment via paypal to orders@gaugepods.com or via mail to Lo-tek, Inc, 715 E. Geer St, C2, Durham, NC, 27701

I think Zander should get some sort of kick back for doing all the leg work for these guys.. after all he just opened up a whole new market of costumers for them...no ??

Just my $0.02

Any updates??

Any preliminary pics on these?

I just trimmed the prototype and fitted it up (pic below). It fits nice and snug, actually I am going to ask if they cant open the top up a bit as the pillar flares a bit there and you really have to squeeze it on at the top. Not exactly sure what to do up at the top edge there maybe some self adhesive weather stripping to fill that gap. Since its upholstry and edging that varies from vehicle to vehicle I am not sure what else to do there. I am sending the trimming specs to Lotek and asking about getting a bit more room up top so they can start pressing these out for you guys...
