Good that you put some sealant on the threads for the "cock drain" (can't remember the real name, but drains the coolant from the block).

I installed it and coolant continuously leaked. Went back to the original bolt.

New short blocks you can’t reuse the old plug. Toyota updated this part and the old plug doesn’t fit the new block. New plug comes with sealant on it.

Will you be installing an oem head gasket or upgrading to Cometic with arp studs?
This one will receive an OEM head gasket and studs.

Were it going to be boosted, or if it needed a thicker gasket, we'd probably be going the Cometic route.

The last 1FZ turbo build to come out of the shop had one.

What studs are you going with? Opel, Supra, other? Part number?
I am in the process of installing a new short block and will likely go with the Cometic gasket. I am not too sure which studs work best. Any advice?
