A long block usually has a head. A short block is without the head.

I'm trying to find something cheap to get it driving. Once it's up and running I plan on acquiring my parts for a LS swap. Just need a runner.

You can buy a 93/94 engine and swap your oil pain and wiring harness and you'll be good to go. That might help to find a 1FZE more locally on a budget.

There are few other things like the heater return lines are different and you remove the PAIR valve from the 93/94 but it is all fairly simple stuff.
