Looks good

Thanks.

Considering the extent of damage sustained, assuming I'm not the best wheeler, so proactively strengthening a few areas that appear potentially bendable.

Edited: I've no experience with bending the sliders, nor have I noticed deflection that prompted the gusseting there of.

To make a long story short, the slider gussets were cut based on a plan to weld them to the frame, which was abandoned after few realizations, but they were already cut, therefore welded on.

The MT sliders have built in gusseting in the pressed plate that's, more than likely, strong enough for the wildest of wheelers. Rumor has it, even CreeperSleeper has yet to manage to bend, and the barometer by which hardcore wheeling is described.

My philosophy, in keeping with the previous theme is, protection is great until the point it fails.

When it's dirty, only makes sense to double up.

I'm not one to claim my chit doesn't stink, especially when it does, and even the failures are shared for the benefit of all.

Overthunk it a bit, and decided best to run from top to bottom of housing, for strength, unlike what I could achieve from the TG, so formed new.

This is a fail.

That's the thing that, once again, I forgot to remove before raising on jack stands.

Oddly enough, at full droop of the L's, I still clear by ~1", but coming off anyway.

More booger welds

Diamond plate was thickest in the scrap available, but couldn't get it to form close enough to cut out the drain, so would up filling anyway.

Hack job. It'll hold, no doubt, but looks like chit.

May not win the beauty contest but you will be glad you have it when you bash into some of those ol' rocks at Disney!!!

Welds are looking better there man. Anymore pics of the ramps, they go on the front of the lca's mounts and tie into the frame correct.

Sent from my busted to s*** EVO4G

More pics to come.

Flash quit working on new IPhone 5, maybe due to dropping from 4'.

I notoriously steal pics, for ideas, from Mud, months before actually performing work, then don't know whom to credit.

This is what I copied, save using 1.5x1.5x3/8.

Talked a trailer repair shop into assisting with bumper straightening. There method appears much better than mine.

Be back with more pics

Can tell a pro welded the boxing, huh?

It is difficult (for those that flame the statement, :flipoff2: )to weld when contorted under a vehicle, in all kinds of poses, in defense of the previous booger welds.

Going to cut a hole through the slider ramp and slide pipe through, then weld to both sides for slider bolt.

If there's was even a hope of an amateur fair entry, it's lost now.

Too close to the frame to weld a tube, and I'm $(;@;:$;/)@$ done with it.

U bolt fits, don't think I'll ever bend the ramp drilled like it is, anyway, but looks like chit.

To the "Ghetto Fab/Hack Job" thread I go.

I wouldn't hav drilled that hole. It will rust up big time now. Just alter the slider mounts.

It was way too late in the day to thinking, and I regret the hole, as well.

Have a drain at the bottom of both the ramps, due to the fold in the OE mount that I may enlarge and liberally coat the inside of the tube with POR-15.

This undertaking should've been a 4 hour job.

Better pics of the double, double DC.

I still won't be able to isolate the exhaust to determine if the source of the rattling, yet.

The V band clamp is to close ( for this mom and pop shop ) to the 02 sensor, making welding an expansion joint ( need to clearance the slider mount ) or a solid weld not doable.

(All my doing. Not anyone else's)
