Pretty fancy driveshaft! Hope it works!
You and I both.
In theory, there's no reason it shouldn't, by design, plus all new OE components, except the ball and claw.
I'm uncertain on the slip yoke, though it was originally described as all Toyota minus the tube.

Jess at High Angle.
A calculated component of the deal is, if it doesn't work, I'm not stuck with another driveshaft, per Jessie's guarantee to me and, I believe, all his customers.
Ben Swain (sp?) at Slee would be a potential source for, too,......if it works. They've a customer running on a rear of a tall 80 successfully, and know they can source the same shaft, probably for less money.
Can't wait to try, so may forgo paint and run it later today.

Not really. That's why it's more of a skid plate. Just something flat that won't get hung up on rocks etc. Used to do alot of diff shaving back in the days of old. But no one bothers anymore.
Good to know. Won't worry about, for now.
Thinking I can shave some off the diff by running 38s, anyway.

Dude you just wheeled your pink panty for the first time in the rocks. Instead of thinking how much more money you need to throw at it based on your mistakes just wheel it. I guarantee the more seat time you have the less you'll be slamming into your third members. Reinforce the ring gear and drain plug and carry on.
Ahhhh, the memory of the first time in pink panties.
The preparation, anticipation, the crazy voices in your head, (either head), the build up, then explosiveness of the actual situation.
After, all you can think about is the next time, how to improve the experience, how to get back there as soon and as often as possible.
Assuming you know what I'm taking about.
One resounding matter, though, is protection, in some form or circumstance, since minimizing the worry and uncertainty that going without can produce.
The less uncertainty of undesired affects, the better the overall experience.
Anyhow, that's my plan anyway.
Cutting a front and rear face place that extends from top to bottom of the ring gear, then rounding a plate along the bottom. Going to ramp the lower link mounts with tube, gusset the bumper, too, on Monday.

Still do the ram assist that is a necessary upgrade if you want to play in the rocks
Really going to need it with the 38s.
Considering pulling the Trail Ready's off the FJC and moving over to the 80. The FJC has seen its last day wheeling until the SA, or it's swapped for a 40 or 60.
