Looks great Chris!

First of many, I'm sure.

Waiting on the PHH/FHH shipment, and the fun begins on round one, cooling and general tune up.

Brakes, axles, and gears next.

Considering running liner to the upper body line in a corresponding color to the darker of the "browns", painting handles to match, and pairing all the white above, including the sun roof delete.

Open to opinions on.

Just too much neon. Think you can lighten it up a bit? Hahaha.

Funny, but the 450 will brandish some "Pink", but supportive to the FBC cause, not an admission of flagrance.

After much consternation, thinking I'll color code the liner to the darker of the interior "browns(?)". A local is searching color codes by VIN to see what it's even called, and of there's a code to correspond with.

What Brown did for me, today.

Stainless brake lines back ordered from Slee, emailed order to Beno, awaiting his return, so I haven't done my part stimulating the economy this week.

Next is ABS, since the real recent brake job the PO did must've been at Walmart, or a Jiffy Lube. Not so sure they didn't mix fluids, and the pedal still goes to the floor.

Have gears coming. A decent deal that couldn't be passed up on. Going 4.88s with the proposed 37s since should be near the stock ration. I know I'll be reprimanded, but 5.29s should put the RPMs at around 3k at 75, and ain't hearing it.
If they suck off road, will worry about TC gearing later. Axle rebuild to coincide with re gear.

Then, power steering. Planning new pump, lines, and gearbox rebuild kit, along with the Pittman arm and sector shaft sending off for rebuild.

A/C appears to be working hard, but it's 92 and 85% humidity, so possibly to be expected. Another new item to AFG.

Think I found the exhaust rattle, which had prompted the "To cat, or not to cat" the tucked replacement question.

The list keeps growing and growing. Anxiously awaiting a day to just demo the flares, rack, spoiler and bumpers, along with removing interior.

If there is an option, NO CAT all the way. You would definitely fair better in our switch grass first one to catch fire competition.

Can't see why not. No regulations to speak of, that I know of, and I think it's a matter of tricking sensors.

Will reserve the competition for the FJC's, that way I can do small, sharp, fast, off camber circles around you and Josh as we haul ass out of the burning field.

Hahahaha.

Contact Beno or Cruiserdan in regards to your gear box. You will want to upgrade to the 105 series sector shaft and pitman arm. Unless you want to be like us and have the sector shaft sheer off right in the middle of golden crack. Fortunately we were able to find a spare power steering box in camp. Woody and I bombed up there the next day and had our 80 up and running in 30 minutes. Wheeled Hells Revenge later on that day with zero issues.

I believe that was what Beno had mentioned, too, was the 105 components and even referred a rebuilder.

Is it primary a preventative measure for breaking, like y'all experienced, or are there any other noticeable gains?

Remove the flares, weld the wholes and repaint it in it´s in original color.

We use the bedliner solution just to hide cheap bondo repairs on 50 bucks cars. I think it is ugly and also looking cheap.

Just prevents the sector shaft from sheering off, the stock 80 one sees a lot of stress and starts to get stress cracks. If you have the box all torn apart I would recommend getting it ported for hydro assist. That way if you wanted to add a hydraulic ram assist to your steering the ports are there to tap into at anytime.

I agreed until looking at a $4-4.5k paint expense, for a wheeler. Granted, I do attempt to minimize trail rash, but inevitably it's going to happen, and it's hurt to damage an expensive paint job.

Garage queen's coming, and I'll wash and wax the perfect paint job daily, but prefer wheelers that don't mind the soft caresses of rocks, trees, or other trail debris, as a showing of affection.

Mmmmm. More goodies, eh?

Yessir, you add hydro assist to your steering it makes rock crawling a whole lot easier when trying to turn 37"+ tires. It's an easy add on when the time comes for it as long as you already have the box ported for hydro assist. Kind of like re-gearing an open diff, it makes sense to add a locker while it's all torn apart.

Looking forward to seeing what you do with it, Chris. When are we going to pop her cherry?

Last soccer game is at 9am and I couldn't be happier about. Then I'll have some time to work on.

As of now, the PO's self described "85% life left" Mic's require locking to get across a wet parking lot, but the FJCs ready for bear.

I don't have first hand experience, but hear cougar's need a certain amount of coaxing to perform. After the facial, new clothes, and new shoes, along with the mandatory cougar lift, she'll be ready for caressing.....I hope.
