Trying to keep it light, and reasoning for tube.

Guess function over form, in this case.

Not sure whom to credit, but considering a rear along these lines.

I have no reservations about moving the rear crossmember forward, nor welding supports back to frame. Hope to follow the body lines and gain clearance.

That bumper was designed and built by Tools R Us and Inkpot in Arizona.

Bahahaha.

The irony is after searching, to no avail, and being berated, then the post sent to me, the "wings" aren't available, anyway. Have to be exhumed from the grave.

Listen you merely asked if there was something like that out there and I pointed to something we made back in 2005. Don't worry will still continue the berating, carry on :flamingo:

Since you know Tool's, how do you think it'd be received to red line changes I'd like to the depicted, and request to build similar?

why not contact and ask him directly ?

I will, unless futile. That's what I was asking was if you thought they'd build another, possibly different, or if I'd be pissing in the wind.

Edited: every local fabricator I know is either punching a clock for someone else (result of economy) or too busy for anything of this nature, and I don't have the skills.

Would like to acquire skills, but really ready to wrap this build up so the wheeling can commence. Sure ill have a chance to fix most all that's bolting on now.

Hopefully wont touch when reversing either.

Lookin' good.... Whats left till "build thread" turns to "wild wheeling pics" thread?

Never even thought of that. Maybe a prybar can correct.

All that I really lacked before abusing was sliders, so now only time.

Still a healthy "to do" list, but planning Clayton the first weekend of new year. Last time I was there, tore a rear link mount from the axle, bent a lower shock stud on the FJC.....forty feet into the trail.

And the all important shocks are still in discussion. Maybe can continue here.

Here's the initial dimensions I have, with only the extended being calculated, not measured.

Front
Compressed - 21.5"
RH- 25.5"
Extended Calculation- 30.24"

Rear
Compressed - 20"
RH 24"
Extended Calculation 29.37"

Compressed is a hair before tire rubs on the inner rear well, front before tire rubs on front of well, but could be chopped for more.

At this point, waiting until I can drop the axles to measure, since nothing seems right.

Any takers?

Are you feeling ok?

I'm almost disappointed you didn't dish out some chit.

All the compound angles trying to go around was too much for me. Hope she'll hold.

Well I did refrain from the welding job on caping the box tube but I'll remain quiet

Yeah, I'll do it :).

Forget extended. It's all governed by the compression length.
