Rob80,

Is the center section of your bumper part of a 'WARN' bumper? I love 8274's mounted on the front end of 80's. Looks great.

Thanks,
Jwp

1995 FZJ80
Scott Creange
156K miles
No mods, bone stock, factory lockers
Used for bumping around town, and future camping trips

Picked it up a few days ago from the 2nd owner for $5900. A nice clean New Mexico cruiser. No future plans except the roof looks a little naked to me, so maybe a roof rack.

Fireguy you stole it, nice find.

Interesting:No running boards, rear spoiler, or roof rack.
With leather and lockers:hmm:

Yeah, kinda a weird configure I guess. The original window sticker came with it...options were leather for $4K, moonroof for $1,100, lockers for $750, upgraded stereo, wheels, 2-tone paint, etc etc. It was a $47,000 vehicle new. But no running boards, roof rack or rear spoiler. Where do you find those OEM accessories now? Used in the classifieds?

Go aftermarket for those items you will be happier in the long run.

What subspd said, most people go aftermarket on the rack.
People part out stuff all the time in the classifieds, so thats one option.
Funny except for the spoiler(I have heard it keeps snow off the back window in snow storms) they ordered the perfect truck.

Most people remove the rack and running boards in due time anyway when they buy an 80.

Hi, no it was all custom made. The only bumpers I have seen for the 80 push the winch out in front and you lose quite a bit of the approach angle, this one was built to keep it as far back out of the way as possible.

Cheers Rob.

Thanks for the kind words, it was a smokin' deal, and ya a well optioned truck, I just couldn't pass it up. I can live without running boards and the spoiler but a rack would be cool. I was looking at the Yakima baskets and the ARB ones too, but those little buggers are kinda pricey! Oh well, I better get used it:hillbilly:

Picked this beauty up from terryjmatthew earlier this week. Lovin it so far!

Been lurking around here for quite a while. Thought I'd let you guys see my contribution to LandCruiser Nation. I've had this one for 10 years now.

1996 185k miles (bought it at 60k), 35's x 17, Slee Rear bumper, ARB (modifed) front bumper to fit the large Baja Designs HID's, Warn 12k, Old EMU 2" lift, modifed the pickup points for caster instead of bushings. Have stock wheels with 315's on them for backup which I ran for a long time in stock ride height with Bilstein HD shocks. The OME is WAY better.

Recently added a few suspension and Bumper upgrades thanks to Christo Slee and Steve at Man-A-Free. One of my buddys that races Baja500/1000 turned me on to Baja Designs HID's. Originally I was going to sell it after finishing. But we've had such phenomenol response from our clients coming in for their sports cars that decided to keep it and continue doing mods for clients. Now done a few 40's and have a few guys in my hunting club wanting an 80 like mine.

And yes we've seen the desert, the coastal prarie mud, mountains of NM and CO and everything in between.

I've had a TRD Supercharger new in the box to install since the summer but held off in hopes of possibly finding a 1HDFT 4.2 Turbo Diesel engine with wiring harness as fuel mileage is increasingly a concern since its a daily driver and I do some long hunting trips (2000 miles round trip).

Really need to work out how to get better mileage as I have a lead foot with this pup on the road and it sucks the fuel down. But there is no better more reliable offroad vehicle IMHO.
