Renewed-Newbee

Hello all..I have owned my 1992 FJ80 since about 2005 and looked for months for one that was pretty stock and in good condition. I settled on the 91-92 year because it seemed like the cost was more in my range and the drive train was similar to my previous FJ60 (1986) that I owned. I test drove around 10 trucks before buying this one. Once I bought it, I had the front end rebuilt, installed new shocks (Bilstien) and fixed a couple of minor issues. Other than that..I have not touched it mechanically for a couple of years. Here's the stats:

1. 1992 FJ80
2. Kyle Stone - Mead, Colorado
3. The Galloping Goat
4. 172K
5. Pretty stock...PO installed larger exhaust system
6. Used as our mountain truck...camping, some minor 4x4
7. See photo

The reason I am a 'renewed newbee' is because I was actually trying to sell it over the past few months. Had a couple of offers (lower than what I wanted for it) and then realized that I really wanted to keep it. So..its not for sale any more and I am going to invest some $$ in it. The brake lines need to be replaced, EGR system overhauled, and all soft hoses replaced. Maybe new tires too.

Anyhow...that my info.

Kyle

No mods yet.
I just got it on Sunday, it was a 1 owner with cloth interior, third seat, and moonroof.
I removed the running boards after beating them up at Uwharrie. I am going to get a rear locker and some new tires soon and then see where things go.
I plan on using it for trail rides and camping trips.

Tennessee Cruiser

I am new to the Cruiser world. My reason for joining is because I have had 1st generation 4Runners in the past and always loved them, then switched to a fullsize Ford Bronco. Although I love the size of it lifted 9 inches with 37's, it was a pig off road, and the smaller lighter jeeps and toyotas would run circles around me, so here I am back at my roots. I have had it for about a month now, it already came as you see it, I painted the wheels, and tinted the turn signals, future plans include 37's, gears, more lift, and bumpers.
