Leatherman Supertool and a fixed blade drop point live in my console. Usually have a couple other blades tucked away depending on the day. Benchmade barrage is my go to but knives are like wrenches - different uses for different types and you can never have too many.
Side note: the Leatherman is money if you have a stuck zipper on a RTT cover...not that mine is broken...
Benchmade Osborne 940. I've had it for 21 years and carry daily.
I have two Morokniv's that I keep in the Cruiser. One thick blade carbon steel and the other thinner stainless steel. The Morokniv's are huge value for the money and super sharp.
Kershaw Ken Onion Leak. Well, it's only in the truck when I'm in the truck because it goes everywhere with me. Sometimes I need it outside of the truck.
Benchmade here too. I edc a bugout and have 3 floating around because I misplace them so often. Just found one in my 80 passenger map pocket that I was sure was long gone. It was like christmas.

Half Face Blades Crow Scout and an M9 Bayonet always kept in my Ruck Sack for camping and for Ruck Sack marches. The M9 was given to me as a gift by my late bestfriend. The HFB I purchased this summer.
Dare I say perfect? The AXIS lock is fantastic and faster than any switchblade or assisted opening knife, the clip is on the opposite end of the hinge for fast removal and blade opening, the reverse tanto doesn't bother with a huge belly, the cutting edge is flat and functional, my scales are aluminum and very light, the knife can be easily disassembled for maintenance, and I love the long 7.87" sleek profile in hand.
I purchased mine in September of 1999 and the only option was green scales, stainless blade, no serrations, and 154CM steel. 154CM was the beeknees in 1999 but has easily been eclipsed by modern alloys. I also bought it for $117 before Benchmade started price protection. I love my Osborne and would probably buy another but retail prices for these are nuts.
I fell into this same thought trap. But I have owned, used and sharpened a lot of knives. I have come to a personal realization that I would rather have a steel that is easy to sharpen by hand in the field and still holds a good edge.
I love 154cm when it is properly heat treated. I have a couple of 440 stainless bucks from the 60's and 70's that also are very easy to sharpen but hold an edge very well. So much of a steel's performance depends on how well the heat treat was done.
I have noticed that different steels seem to sharpen differently. For example I feel like a well forged and heat treated O1 carbon blade likes sharpen to a very toothy edge that just seems to slice flesh better than other steels even when sharpened to the same angles.
Keep them coming everybody, and remember pictures need to include the 80 series or it didn't happen.
Always parked just forward of big brother Sig. It was a gift from my old crew so the Bench Made model I don’t know. It’s the nicest knife I’ve ever had though.

I have a 940 as well, special edition titanium gray color handle. I lost the rear standoff screw years ago and the standoff fell out. For the life of me I cant find a replacement anywhere.
