Given that our trucks average somewhere around 10-15 Miles Per Gallon, that would give you ~50-75 miles of range when the light comes on? I'd lean to the 50 miles wager.

Most every car I have owned had ~40-50 miles worth of gas left once the light came on. I thought that was a standard in the car industry.

Yes, FWIW I've verified with a few cars that you have about 75 miles left when the light comes on.

I've found on my old 2003 Intrepid, my wife's 2001 RX300 and my 97 LX450, the light coming on will give you 75 mile range. Formula works even with the varied tank sizes and fuel economy. Just my .02.

In my 2012 Volkswagen 2.0 turbo when the fuel light comes on, it leaves me with a 25 mile range I think. That's less than a gallon

Did you know? Heater/radiator hoses are often difficult to determine which end goes where. New OEM hoses all have a white line, which indicates top/up.

Definitely could be. Somewhere I came across a list of popular autos and manufactures and the ranges of each. Somewhere on the Interwebs but not sure where.

Is there a similar thread to this somewhere regarding examples of "over-engineering" of the 80 series? I have several examples... (one would be the little hoses to drain the rear light box)

If not, I might just start one.

Did you know that some of the manual seat truck with leather interior have OEM fabric door panels under the leather sections?

I dont know if this is all manual seat trucks. But I think the manual seats were all fabric and the leather was a port install.
