I had to cut all my body mount bolts to get my body off the frame. Does anyone know the size needed to replace those. also how do you get to the 2 bolts mid rear tub, I don't have access from the top.
I have tried search and found lots pretaining to 78 and below but nothing with answers on 79+. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Have you tried CDan yet? I would bet they are still available. Don't know for sure though, but I need to order some myself.

The middle bolts go into the body tube, and there is just enough room to fit them in there, then drop down through the holes, and there are clips that hold them in place.

No I haven't tried CDan yet. sor sells them but they are $21.00 each. I was thinking of going stainless because of the rust issue these had.

Just for comparison sake the poly body mounts with bolts run around 100 bucks. With that said there are a lot of advantages to staying with the rubber so I am glad you found some!

rear body mount bolt access is through the plastic caps in the top of the rear sill. If you're had rust repair, these may be covered or non existent, and you'll have to use a torch for top access or a sawzall to cut them between the body and frame. Watchout for wiring!

What are the advantages?

supposebly less noise through vibration from the drivetrain to the tub. Same as with any poly mount. For the record I didnt care and I bought poly??

My main goal was to not be the guy who said you HAVE to have poly ;)

I bought poly body mounts. but I couldn't find a kit that included bolts for 79+ and since I cut mine off and threw them away before measuring them. (Doh) I didn't know what size to buy and couldn't find the info here. I called the dealer and he told me that he could only get the part #'s but not the size and pitch. I am sure I could have figured it by the hole size of the mount and the over all length when put together. I just thought i would try here first and take the easy way out. Oh well I am getting oem ones and will post the sizes when i get them in a few days.

There is a kit, butI can't remember where it came from, the po of my 1980 suppliedone when he sold it to me.

My kit was for a 77 or 76 I dont remember but it had bolts and I think I too got them from JT Outfitters. I know it doesnt matter in this case but maybe this info will help the next guy

Got my bolts here are the specs

( 2 ) M10 x 1.50 x 80 mm, thread length is 50 mm. 1 wave lock washer and 1 flat washer on each.

( 4 ) M10 x 1.50 x 55 mm, thread length is 25 mm. also has wave lock and flat washer.

They do taper at the bottom to help insert into the body bushing.

hope this helps someone
