In Japan for vacation and we attended Tokyo Auto Salon show. There were quite a few companies showing off their LC250 products. I was impressed to see an area in the Toyota booth dedicated to upcoming reproduction parts for the FJ40. The brake master cylinder is definitely on my list!

Re-writing the story of Tiger40 just a bit. My father-in-law thought he bought it in 1980, but he actually bought it in 1983. That would make more sense, since the vintage photos we found start in 1983.

Here is the copy of the cashiers check he used to buy it for $4200 in 1983. The business card is the original owners info. I wonder how hard it would be to track him down if he’s still around!

Been a little quiet lately since the 40 is pretty much done, but I do need to replace the fuel fill & evap hoses to eliminate the fuel smell inside the cab.

Aside from that I drove the 40 to the bodyshop to check on my latest project. Finally got paint laid down after being there since last August!

Back to work on the 40… Trying to get rid of this fuel smell in the cab once and for all!

Sourced three 12” strips of 5/16” fuel hose and one 14” strip of 1/4” fuel hose. This sorted out the evap canister lines. The main fuel elbow was sourced from city racer, and the last larger braided hose was sourced from cruisermatts.

This is something I need to get on. I bought mine and the PO removed all of this and went with a sealed cap. Luckily, I have most of the stuff from previous builds.

I definitely noticed a difference after replacing the old hoses! The gas cap was also swapped out with a new oem unit a while back.

Thanks! It rides great and I love how they centered the rear axle in the wheel well. It’s basically an entire Redline Landcruiser 2.5” kit minus the shocks

Thanks they have sold out of the springs that they had. Supposed to be redesigning the kit. Redline said they expect to have the newly designed springs this week sometime.
