1976 fj40 with 3b Diesel 4sp. Dune Beige Hard Top.
I've never had the top off.
I've had this vehicle for about 5 years. Bought it from a mud member in Greenville who did the 3b conversion and the Resto work.
106000miles on chassis and do not know the mileage on the powertrain.
Only put 4500 miles on it in 5 years.
Since I've owned it I have cleaned up the wiring under the hood. installed HFS Front bumper with 8276 Warn winch (used once to remove a fence post). New hood latches, new inner door handle bezel, replaced fuel filter, new injector pump primer, valve cover gasket, lifter side plate gasket, front knuckle service all the way down to the front inner axle seals, resurface front rotors, new front pads, rear shoes and 4 new rear wheel cylinders, rotated and balanced tires, Oil and filter changed with Rotella 15w-40, lots of weekends keeping it clean.
Truck stays in storage at all times.
Was just used in a photo shoot for a fellow mud members wedding who was from NY but was wed in Charleston.
All electrical items work, all gauges work.
Cranks immediately whether cold or warm.
Have many photos of inside cabin, under hood and under vehicle.
1 rust spot on top of rh front fender.
1 rust area at rh rear lower area under the barn door.
Small bubble beginning to show at bottom of rh door.
Gear oil leak from the rear of the transfercase
Engine oil leak from the oil feed line to the back of the alternator for the vacuum pump
15k firm

best of luck with the sale ...
if you feel like it, shoot me the pics or a link and i will pass the info around up here ... a clean diesel 40 is a desired beast.

I just sold my 76FJ40 with 3B and 4 speed in it for that price.Had it on Craigslist DFW for 2 weeks and only received a few lowball offers and dum trade propositions.

Listed it on Ebay and mentioned I had it also on Craigslist and sold it the same day, maybe list yours on Ebay.

They are great to drive so it should sell fast for that price

Good luck with the sale and free bump:cheers:

Joe

I have seen this FJ40 in person and it is pretty sweet.

LexTech worked on my old 76 FJ40, they are a GREAT outfit here on James Island. If I could afford to buy it myself I would;
Probably will not be able to sleep tonight thinking about it, a mile or so away from my house!
