Removed the blower assembly last week. Thought I would post up some pics of the"pre-refurb"...Started the tear down process today.

Starting the tear down. Going to need a good soaking. I'll use a little "Dawn" dish washing liquid to soak all the plastic pieces. Plan on using the same closed cell foam to refurb the gaskets...

Finished re-foam ops on the blower. Test fit housing back on the mule after re-foam. Had way too much time today so I mounted the bib, grill and bezel (just because) Left everything loose IOT account for adjustments later. No word from the painter. Welding and painting skills would make Chunga a happy camper....

Note for the masses..Mount bib before mounting winch plate, unless you have the hands of a seven year old.

Florida bound in the AM..:):bounce::):bounce::):bounce:

Stopped in at the garage this AM before heading back to the mountains..removed the old drain hoses. Not sure what I am going to do yet. New set or a new cap to delete the need for hoses...

Might want to spend some time cleaning up the internals on that blower motor while it's off - brushes and bushings/bearings help a lot .

Good copy Sarge...Knocked it out this AM!!

If you want to learn to weld , stop over on the weekends - I do teach a bit at times ....

Sarge - Thanks for the offer..If you were close, I'd be on it like a fat girl on a brownie..But, I have been talking with the guy's over at the Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS). Later this summer I am going to hang out after work and learn my way around the "Lincoln"..

Glad to see you're back at it!

Missed the old mule while in Florida..

BUT.....!!!!!! The following photo is not a gratuitous shot of the beach. I was doing "Tech" research. I was merely comparing the color of the sand to my "Dune Beige" paint in preparation for a re-spray..:smokin:

^^Well, I guess somebody has to do it. Taking one for the team?;):beer: "SPARK PLUG" just to make this tech. worthy.

I switched my "old man retirement job" this past week and I have not had much time time to post. I'm still waiting on my painter, who is obviously moonlighting in another dimension. I am at least at the stage where I can fire up the old mule as soon as he checks in from his galactic excursion...My planning cycle is on pause until I make sure everything on the engine and cooling system is up to snuff. My original end of June suspension upgrade is looking like it will slide right another month. I just don't want to have my TLC up on jack stands before everything else checks out/in....Sunday is my only day of opportunity this week. May tinker, may not..

I may however take a short cruise around Kingwood and observe the local flora and fauna. I hear there is a bake sale at the Tractor Supply parking lot this weekend....:hmm:

Thanks Danny...I have been on a self imposed literary sabbatical. I hope to have new material that can be loosely tied to my work on the mule in the very near future...:)

Great news about your engine rebuild!!!
