Cell phone was on the blink ( camera crapped out). So, no photos from Saturday's effort. Fred called in sick and it rained. It's starting to look and feel like the PNW here in WV. If we could just import a few decent micro-brews I'd be OK with it. But, I did manage to sand and prime the remainder of the upper foot-well (s). Also, I added a brush guard. Picked it up used. I think I picked up a case of brush guard envy from @JohnnyC. He has the mother of all brush guards and I was feeling inadequate. Sanded primed and painted it gloss black. IMHO looks pretty good and most importantly its functional. Shields the front grill and headlights. All pics to follow next weekend. Received a text from the painter..."Sandblasting your parts today"...I am taking this with a grain of salt. I am translating that to mean " I walked past your parts today".

Question: have you ever seen your painter and Fred at the same time?
Love to see your brush guard when the camera is working again.... Seems like every one is ditching you ... Even the camera

After an extended period of wailing and gnashing of teeth I pulled the trigger on the ENGO E10000 today . At the end of the day, I think this unit will suit my needs. I'll post up picks and a review after it's mounted.

JohhnyC - Apparently, my obsessive temperament toward the mule is not shared amongst the uninitiated. Hunting season is rapidly approaching and I am way behind on my projected completion date...
Now that I've finished sing'en the blues I'll end on a positive note. My leaf springs should be in next week...

Finished up with the foot-wells (primed). Test fit tranny Cover. 92 in the shade today. Knocked off work IAW the "wet bulb"....

With the painter still MIA, I test fit the brush guard...Looks like it will function well with the stinger and provide a measure of protection to the front turn signals...Item was used. I sanded, primed and painted black...I like the repurposing of TLC parts...TOYOTA Karma!!

The ENGO E10000 I ordered made it. Item was well packed (Double boxed), nothing loose or broken and all pieces, parts and accoutrements were accounted for. I did however, make one tactical error with the winch...I'll post up more about that later...

OME "Dakar" Springs arrived today..

Test fit the MAF Anti-inversion shackles w/OME Bushings. Everything seems in order.
Arrow on the top leaf is oriented to the fixed (non-shackle) side of the leaf spring AKA shorter end of the spring. Shackles test mounted opposite the arrow.
Just prepping for the spring replacement.
BOOSTED the following from the Cruiser Outfitters web site.....
"OME/Dakar spring will often have a +, o, or a - painted on one end of the leaf spring, so what does that mean? The + means slightly over spec, and when we say slightly it wasn't enough to consider the spring an error rather it is by design. The o is exactly at spec and the - slightly below spec, again by design. As the drivers side of a vehicle often has more weight, its common to use a + on the drivers side and a o or a - on the passenger side. Or, a o on the drivers side and a - on the passenger. The total difference side to side is likely just 1/8"-1/4" but it can be just the right amount to level the vehicle. This is particularly important when A and B springs are not offered such as many of the newer spring applications".
If the "Tins" are not back next week I may go ahead and start the spring replacement.

Managed to mount the Engo. Pretty straight forward. Only mod was enlarging the mounting holes on the mounting plate.. This is my favorite part of this forum. The part where you get to let others know what a semi-functioning idiot you are. Take a look at pic #1 and 3..Wrong mounting plate for the winch....(Can't make this stuff up)..
Just failed to fully engage the brain housing group before hitting the "buy" button...
I went ahead and bolted the roller head up to get an idea of how it will look/function. New plate is the cheapest option...Sigh.....
