You know Charlie, it’s odd, when 1.0 was mostly straight up stock, except for the Rochester 2bl, I plotted and schemed my way south of stock. Now, with 2.0 in full blown non issue regalia, I’m going out of my way to give it a “just another LC” look.

My speedo was hit or miss the day the Mule arrived from Idaho. Added a new cable during phase I. That worked..Until it didn’t.

Speedo driven gear gave up the ghost and flatlined.

PHII B is winding down.

Last bits are in prep. Should be spraying Mule Brown this week. The schedule bumped a little to the left due to a couple of necessary forays to the machine shop. Ran into some limited stock/waiting on shipping items as well.

I am curious if anyone has come up with a gear set that is matched to tire size to correct the speedometer "offset"?

I remember reading something in one of the threads about compensating for tire size…I’m a tad taller tire with the 285’s and 3:70 gears.

The 49 yr old analog speedo is probably a best guess on a good day. If I’m on the highway, tooling along at 1500rpm, it’s usually out of morbid curiosity. I did race an Amish Buggy once. I’m still contesting the results. Last time I agree to a rolling start.

More or less, I just want the systems to function/work in the manner for which they were installed. I’m about to go medieval on the cigarette lighter.

That 2 horsepower buggy is mean in the hands of the right 10 year old.

Just a sojourning pilgrim In the kingdom of patina.

Shiny stuff applied. Rotors are turning and the Mule should be pulling pitch out of Wooster, touching down in the vicinity of Nod. ETA in 2 weeks-ish. The BG is undergoing the prerequisite biannual declutter op and should be ready end of next week. Synchronicity in motion.

Geezer buddy and I spent the day dealing with downed trees instead of working on the Meade Hall. All standing dead so there is a silver lining- Fire wood 🪵 collection for the (2025) “Viking Mess” festivities. Only 4 months to hunting season…🍻

I should post up some pics this year 🤔. Is there a sharp stick/loin cloth thread in chit-chat?

Pre-Buff N Stuff

Rotary ops begin in the AM. Time to put down a good buffing. Clear has matured nicely. 😁

Reassembly may begin this Friday, with a return date next week- TBD.

Time for this one to come home.

Things are moving ahead of schedule.

Spent the day “out in the county” yesterday. Came home to an update. Progressing on all fronts. Pretty sure the pics don’t do justice to the finish. No small task melding the ambi door(s) to the AQ swing outs. When 2.0 is back in the BG, I’ll post up some closeup/details of the effort.
