Nice rig. First order of bid'ness, however, needs to be the ancient Land Cruiser tradition known as "the flipping of the Bezel ritual".

This is an ancient initiation ritual which is essential for some newbies... Think of it as a bit like cleansing sins in other religions.

And the pictures.

And the pictures.

I actually thought he had posted the picture upside down on purpose because of the bezel...then I saw the 3rd pic.

More pictures are required and welcome.

You will never regret the '40 fever...your wallet will, but you won't

how do most of you post pictures. through a third party like photobucket? also how can i modify my first post? NEWBIE PROBLEMS!

Either that or buy a star. Once you have a few more posts you can add more pics.

You can edit by clicking the 'edit' button at the bottom of your post. You can then click 'go advanced' to change pics, icons etc.

However, with your Bezel upside down it is possible that the Cruiser Gods will stymie all of your efforts; they can be vengeful deities.

So was able to post the pictures correctly.... i will post a picture of yesterdays progress!

Im fixing the Bezel today! should i keep it white of black?

Shaping up nicely. What are your thoughts on Cruiser ownership thus far?

loving it, drives very nice... im a fan of "OG" and not a fan of Green, so im thinking of removing the green paint and buffing the original beige paint... what do you think.. Then prep and paint the roof white..

** Whats the trick on knowing what side goes up on the Bezel? (newbie question looks symmetrical)

Bezel: Fat side up.

Paint: How do you remove a single layer of paint without removing the paint below? I agree that beige is a great color for these trucks.

the magic of these trucks is not in how they look but how they drive/wheel

paint is the last thing I would think about :meh:

haha there is no rock crawling in miami.. its all about the "vintagness" OG pain is big here...

As to removing the paint its not too bad... 10 or so bottles of oven cleaner, some blades and 320 sand paper... the 800 wet and buff it out!

what mirror is that, that i have.. havent seen it before..

Also looking for a roof rack for it!

Very nice looking rig!!

WAY easier to scuff and re-paint it beige. No cutting compound will get out the sanding gouges left by 800 paper. Not to mention that if the green was applied properly all the factory clear should have been sanded down for tooth and primer sprayed/sanded, and maybe some sealer. Buffing should be a moot point.

I have the square head ones on my '74 parts truck . Looks like you arm is twekaed a bit.
