Holy crap! I was skeptical of the process but that OG paint looks great. Nice work.

I'll agree that the cost/benefit for the strip/polish is pretty good, but after that amount of effort, I'd want to get rid of the green in the scratches and dents (and you have more than a few). If it were my truck, I'd spend the time fixing the flaws and doing a quick top coat to match the interior.

ill do that later on... nothing like true OG patina! Im going to strip the roof and paint it white, with a matching bezel... hopefully next week.... i want to paint the inside floor and weld up a patch it needs.... then continue on wit the passenger side.... (my hands are on fire due to the oven cleaner!)

Well havent had much time lately but yesterday i wire brushed the entire floor then sanded it with 180, and welded in a patch panel and was able to paint and clear coat it late night..... was able to mix and match the paint with left over paints from old projects!

got tired of paint stripping... but the front is done, and the drivers side is done.... im going to do the interior and then get back to it.... i sanded all the seat frames im going to get them painted later and hopefully drop the seats off at the upholstery shop tomorrow... was thinking on a system...... any ideas?

ok well i have gotten some work done.... i did a complete sound system... 2 6" bass infernal speakers in custom kick panels with 2 tweeter..... 2 6x9 in 2 old luggage's! and a 12" MB Quart sub in a custom box that i wrapped in a coffee sack... i conencted it it all to an equalizer and with the seats in it will all be hidden!

well while i wait for the seats to come back and take a break from stripping the green off the passenger side, i went ahead and painted the roof, semi flat/satin white.

Looking really good-probably the nicest Miami Sound Machine around. Great looking Kombi sitting there. Is that yours?

That is seriously sexy. Do you anticipate making your cruiser that nice one day?

might eventually paint it but for now i love patina OG paint.. you dont have to be as careful as a fully restored car..

So true. I did a frame off on my 83 fj40 and never enjoyed driving it after that because I was too anxious that I'd scratch it or get hit. I sold it and now my 84 is nice but far from perfect - and I love driving it!
