Ok, for those of you that have been wondering what is going on with bob, well, I have been busy doing lots of little things, the fuel tank is up and under now, just need to run the filler neck into the tank and it's all good.

I need to get the rear bar design finished and then get it made, After that I have to extend bumpstops and brake lines, plumb up the tank proprly and get to the eningeers.

Is there anything I am forgetting?

Oh I also need to get the speedo calibrated, what is the best way to do that?

so i got the front end under bob, ordered my ext brake lines tonight,
now i just need to get a drag link made up to suit.

will hopefully get the rear end done on friday, replacing all the bushes as i go,

then i need to sus out a speedo recalibration, if anyone can help me out with advise on where to go for this, please help!!!

Factory flares?

You have many sets of eyeballs on your build...
it seems that way :):)

as Toyfj45 pointed out, they are off a 62 series, well a top of the line 62 series, my original white 60 was actually a base model 62
the new one (60Bob) is a HJ60

Dude....Sick.
thanks mate, im glad you like

i did a bit of work on it over the last few days...
pulled my high steer arm off to get it machined to fit the factory 60 series drag link, (the drag link hole is suited for a hilux drag link..dont know why...it just is) so i should have that back this friday,
also have to redrill the flange on my Tcase, as my front drive shaft has a hilux double card joint at the top to help clear the notched front crossmember. i will try to do this before work tomorow, if not deffintatly friday!!
my extened brake lines should also be here on friday so i will be fitting them and also springing over the back end..:):)

so lots to do, but fingeres crossed it all goes smoothly

keep up the input guys, its help the process to keep moving along

pyrotech looking good. Did you have to change the fuel tank in any way?

this is the new tank solution:):)

I got the rear end SPOA today, what a HUGE job this is to do by yourself.

got my extended brake lines yesterday and fitted them, but i think the rear may still be too short:frown::crybaby:

this is Bob this morning

Don't know watcha got down under, but CA has speedometer shops that specialize in calibration. Installing a different "driven" gear into the transmission recalibrates the cable speed relative to the driveshaft speed.

If you don't mind making an international call at strange hours, give these guys a call: http://www.sdspeedo.com/

They may have the right gear for you to install to get you in the "ball park" without putting it on a dyno.

Cheers,

Rick
