I swear the company just tossed them on a pallet and loaded them
I went through this same thing with a private seller from Aus.

Wing window set that was broken glass by my the time it made it to me.

I’d be sure to ask that anything you’ll pay more to have it crated. Also that the freight company doesn’t stack anything on top of it.

Such a bummer. Hope that you can save some of those.

I think we can salvage a few thankfully! This is definitely a learning situation. I normally have them individually wrapped and shipped which ends up being over $500 each just for shipping via DHL, next time ill get the packaging more fool proof!

EDIT - these have been sold

For anyone who wasn't able to get a set I'm moving on from mine. I started rebuilding the passenger side already, got it down to bare metal and painted. Haven't reassembled it yet or torn down the other one.

PM me if your interested in em

Got mine installed, and happy to say no leaks in the (super pathetic) monsoons and no whistling when going down the highway. When open I can easily reach into the back area and touch the floor, meaning I can grab anything on that side without climbing into the truck. Worst part was getting that damn metal trim to help hold the window to the body, that stuff is super easy to bend, yet ironically pretty stiff to press into place. So far I'm happy, and don't see much reason to look back.

Pro tip:

When you’re giving your truck a bath, don’t aim high pressure spray at the bottom edge of the window. The water will shoot up and into the weep holes and get the inside wet. Ask me how I know!

Holy crap that was fast man. You’re worse than me hahahaha. Those look amazing!

For anyone who missed a set, I think @CruiserTrash has a few extra sets. He should be posting them here in T minus…
Yep, working on bringing in two sets. My Aussie friend is in an area where they seem a little more difficult to obtain than where Brian was sourcing his.

I do not have final pricing worked out yet. It may be different than the window sets offered above. Since I'm doing this at less than the industrial scale upthread, I can be flexible on the rubber seals. If you want to source them on your own, great. If you want me to bring over the RSA stuff with the windows, great.

Please inbox me to form a line. Pricing and expected delivery when I have that info.

FYI, the first set of restored sliding windows is up on The rust farmers site. so far its just one set but as more are available theyll be updated.

These will be install ready so youll just unbox them and install. If you order use dbbowen10 as the coupon code and you should get about $100 off of the listing price

@dbbowen I wanted these ready to go before we went to the San Juans for a week, so no time could be wasted! In use this past week in CO. I had wondered when I first pulled the trigger if sliding windows would actually be a game changer or not. Lemme tell ya, it was a world of difference being able to reach through the window and get the dog food out or a backpack rather than climbing up into the back seat to reach over. Ventilation seems cleaner as well, though I haven't done scientific testing to confirm the improved airflow through the cabin.

I'm interested if you do it again!

I've seen a lot of videos of the Aussies getting rid of them because of leaking. Have you or @Skreddy had this issue with yours?
No leaks in mine. If washing it and I spray water real hard at the divider felt, some will get in. But nothing in normal rain and driving conditions.

Dude thats amazing. I really like that little table thing you have there too. I gotta say, i cant even imagine my truck with the solid glass windows anymore. the sliders are such a game changer!

No leaks from me either on mine and i wash my truck like weekly and blast them directly with water every time. I think theres one set up for sale on the site right now. Its already reconditioned so youll just open the box and install it in the truck.

I made that little hanging table for the wife's FJ40 but it obviously hangs on anything with a lip. I wish it were just a bit bigger, but it's also working well enough that I don't really have plans to replace it. The original idea what exactly what you see hanging off the drip edge, but I've actually found it works great in the 40 hanging from the ambo doors. One of the best parts is that the truck doesn't have to level since the table is easily adjustable.
